Excellent message to wake up to, lisah!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
oh lord. I thought after 20 years maybe I could watch the reflection/anniversary news items. I was wrong.
{{{msbelle}}} Calming thoughts to you.
I don't know if it will get easier in our lifetimes. I remember how my mother would cry every year on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Some memories just have too much of an emotional punch.

Nope, no thank you.
Timelies all!
I will be avoiding the news as much as possible next Saturday. I have to bring Luna in for her shots and checkup that morning, so that'll take up some time.
Rory and I went camping with friends yesterday. It was mostly ok—there were 5 people and 7 dogs, which was a little ridiculous, but he was also the second biggest dog (and one of the small ones was a two legged with back wheels!) He wanted to growl out the tent at something several times but mostly slept better than I did—I just can’t get comfy in a sleeping bag! I want to sleep on my side but then it fits funny and only works on one side because the other one doesn’t unzip so I’m facing more sleeping bag, and I feel like i can’t put my arms anywhere??? Not sure how to solve that part.
David that’s so scary! Glad the pupper is mostly ok now but yikes.
We spent the weekend doing eight million errands having to do with the new house. EIGHT MILLION I TELL YOU. Feel free to ignore the following list of our herculean labors: buy a new table saw. Pick out vinyl flooring for the basement (Which we’re going to install ourselves). Pick up new bathtub from Home Depot. Grocery shopping. Pick up new medicine cabinet. Measure kitchen counters. Count how many cabinet handles we have to replace in the kitchen (50). Measure bathroom floor. Measure deck for fencing (which we are going to build ourselves). Etc etc etc.
We also met our next door neighbors, who seem to be very cool people.
I have only 4 days of radiation left!
Sadly, I neither glow in the dark nor have I developed exciting new powers.
I am exhausted from dealing with all the frustrating patron problems in the last 15 minutes the library was open.
Spent much of the week watching the American Eventing Championships (AECs) streaming on the US Eventing Association website. Lots of pretty ponies running over the bluegrass. Next year the AECs are going to be in Montana. All but the top two divisions were won by women/girls.
Scrappy that sounds exhausting! Go you and good luck with all the future planned work!
