We have, it seems, successfully produced an adult, in point of law. Which is to say, Casper is 18 today. I sort of feel the same way I felt when she turned 1 - they tell you the child is not a baby any more, but she is in fact very much still a baby. But she's working, and being quite responsible about it, and no doubt will continue to mature as is appropriate. She is a wonderful young woman.
Relatedly, I went looking for the Natter in which she was born, and on this site I can only find closed threads back to Natter 30 or so. IIRC there was a separate older archive hosted by DXM, bless his memory? Is that somewhere now?
Bookmarked. Thank you, Nilly!
Nilly! Thank you. Good to see you swounce in.
Aww, flea. Happiest birthday to Casper. Well done on making such a fine adult.
{{Pix}} Even when you know it is fine waiting for results just always sucks.
Sophia, good to see some resolution, but so sorry that you had to do so much battle to get there.
Massive amounts of steroids have helped DH's back and he is back to doing construction. I still had to put on his socks and shoes, but he is doing better. Going to see Reminiscence this afternoon, because Hugh Jackman, and to support our local little movie theater. Not sure how he will do with the not so comfy theater chairs. He may spend a lot of time standing.
Nilly nillying!
Happy adulthood to Casper! Wow.
Cashmere, she has that. I bought it for her the second I saw it, and vw bought it for Stitch as well.
All the health ~ma to you Pix.
Happy Adulthood to Casper.
In unhappy news I got my first written warning ever here. Maybe my first at any job. It's over attendance and it's my fault. I called out 3 times in the past 6 months and that is 3 points so a written warning. I forgot to ask how many points until the 2nd...not that I am going to push it.
I actually called out 2 times in tbe past 6 weeks so that means I have to be careful until next year.
And this includes if I get sick and have a doctor's note. I think. If I can find someone to cover for me then that's different but we are so understaffed I would have to trade shifts with someone which is hard to do same day. They are much stricter than pre pandemic I know before I had some things that were "taken care of" but different managers and we had people who they could call to come in.
Nilly, nilly-ed the heck out of that.

Pfft. They're lucky to have you, and they're understaffed. Nobody else is going to go fix the racks and color sort them. Poor management practice.
Huzzah to Casper! She was such a little poot when Emmett and I met her and Dillo in Athens. I guess that was a long time ago now.
