Just got word from my mom that we are cancelling the family gathering we had planned for my dad's 80th birthday in September. We're all vaccinated but everyone feels like travelling and mingling and going home again would have too much potential for contributing to spreading the virus even so. I'm sure my dad is disappointed, but I think it's for the best.

M messaged me that he had a low grade fever and a headache. Which had me all worried. But now he is feeling better.
Tomorrow is mom's birthday and I'll get to see E for the first time since 2019...but I don't know if M just had food poisoning or something else so I don't know if I should go up there.

Do you have rapid test centers? I wanted to get tested before I flew home and it took about an hour to get my results via email. I could have gone to urgent care and got them in 15 minutes.

Laura , M might be able to get a rapid test through the VA, I tried to look for some info today but I was really distracted and M found a place and I guess called them and it was going to be $140 for the regular test. At the time I forgot that maybe he could try the VA for a test. I can find places with appointments for Saturday but not for tomorrow.
I emailed mom and asked her what she and Dad and E would feel comfortable with.
He hasn't had any other symptoms and he is feeling almost like normal so I keep thinking maybe it was just as stomach thing.
