I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I will also report (because it is raining) that Maria’s daughter laughed at us for going to the library on vacation ( we originally did this because you can check out free passes to the Susan B Anthony House). Today we returned them, I went for a little tour and then we spent hours in the local history area, which had a lot of binders wit printed out emails. It was amazing Libraries are great,

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Libraries are great! Mine has been doing sleepovers for stuffed animals, and it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. [link]

A paper on the effects of Ohio’s vaccination lottery: [link]

we find that Ohio’s incentive scheme increases the vaccinated share of state population by 1.5 percent (0.7 pp), costing sixty-eight dollars per person persuaded to vaccinate. We show this causes significant reductions in COVID-19, preventing at least one infection for every six vaccinations that the lottery had successfully encouraged.

Well, I got my test results back within the hour and they were negative. I'm keeping my test appointment on Monday.

Our wings are not tired.

High fives my sister in negativity. They said within 24 hours, but I had my results before I got home.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We got an email last night from Mr. S's camp saying that a kid tested positive for COVID, so camp would be closed today. Luckily, our nanny was able to come at 8 this morning so Gary could go to the office. Unfortunately, Mr. S has developed a very congested nose, and is miserable about it. We may bring him in to the pediatrician's office tomorrow to get tested. At any rate, it doesn't look like we're going anywhere this weekend. Sigh...

Thrive to spite them

So work is still having Kidsfest, it was last minute so we will see how busy it is. All the cloth masks that work was selling (which some weren't the best but I do remember the good brands) are clearance and it's double discount so I'm stocking up.

I didn't wear a mask today or yesterday. I spent most of yesterday in stock rooms alone working on a project for my assistant manager (we have a lot of loose men's shoes and a lot of empty boxes or boxes with only one shoe--in 2 different stock rooms. so my project was to try and get it all sorted out. I didn't get as much done as I wanted but I swear they were multiplying behind my back). And then today I was supposed to work 6-2 but that turned into 6-12:30 for scheduling reasons. So I was only in the open store from 6-10. It wasn't that busy and I really didn't have to get too close to customers.

I realize that I'm still putting myself and others at risk but I'm having to weigh that against my issues with heat and humidity. It was extremely hot today and yesterday and the humidity wasn't as bad as it has been but at 6:30 am this morning the heat index was already 76F and the air didn't kick in at work until like 9. I mean it ran some but not what it is during when we are open. Tomorrow I'm going to try and wear a mask as much as possible, drink Smart Water, and move slower.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

askye, what about wearable neck AC or a cooling vest to help?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am looking at Matilda's Bell Schedule for the coming school year and I've never felt so happy about a school district PDF.

She has orientation on this Monday, and starts school Aug 16th. Also she works all the way to the previous Friday on the 13th.

She's going to be back in school after 17 months.
