Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Thank you for asking, wonderful Laura! After literally 8 different payment/lease/mortgage plans were shot down by the loan place, we think we have one that will work. Our buyer is purchasing our back three acres now , then leasing our barn until October, when he makes a last payment to pay off our mortgage here. Don’t ask my why this the “best” financial course, but that is what we’ve been told. So, we basically sold our house today!!!!! If some crazy new snag comes up and the mortgage is not approved, we’ll lose our 15k earnest money, but we’ll be able to stay here until we find another house.

Oh that sounds like a good work around. Will keep the ~ma headed your way.

Did my Covid test and all is well so I’ll fly to Florida Saturday. May need a spacesuit for my stay there! Still feel like crap but my theory is the body aches are from lifting weights and the congestion this crappy weather. I just had to check before getting on a plane.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Good luck Scrappy, and sympathies to everyone dealing with family & health issues. It's a lot.

I'm glad I just ordered some new cloth masks; my old ones were looking pretty ratty. Sigh.

I wasn't able to log in remotely from home the last few days, so I went to the office after training today, and discovered that the network there was down as well. Joy.

Tonight is my last night of dog-sitting, for which I am grateful. I miss having my fan in my bedroom, and there's too much to eat in this house. Also handling 3 dogs just takes more time than handling one, especially since I have to run outside and scoop the apples off the ground every time I let the dogs out -- they eat the fallen apples and get diarrhea. Which if you're a St. Bernard, that's something devoutly to be avoided.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I will also report (because it is raining) that Maria’s daughter laughed at us for going to the library on vacation ( we originally did this because you can check out free passes to the Susan B Anthony House). Today we returned them, I went for a little tour and then we spent hours in the local history area, which had a lot of binders wit printed out emails. It was amazing Libraries are great,

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Libraries are great! Mine has been doing sleepovers for stuffed animals, and it is the cutest thing I have ever seen. [link]

A paper on the effects of Ohio’s vaccination lottery: [link]

we find that Ohio’s incentive scheme increases the vaccinated share of state population by 1.5 percent (0.7 pp), costing sixty-eight dollars per person persuaded to vaccinate. We show this causes significant reductions in COVID-19, preventing at least one infection for every six vaccinations that the lottery had successfully encouraged.

Well, I got my test results back within the hour and they were negative. I'm keeping my test appointment on Monday.

High fives my sister in negativity. They said within 24 hours, but I had my results before I got home.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We got an email last night from Mr. S's camp saying that a kid tested positive for COVID, so camp would be closed today. Luckily, our nanny was able to come at 8 this morning so Gary could go to the office. Unfortunately, Mr. S has developed a very congested nose, and is miserable about it. We may bring him in to the pediatrician's office tomorrow to get tested. At any rate, it doesn't look like we're going anywhere this weekend. Sigh...

I'm so sorry Pix.
