Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What I was actually coming in here to say before I was so efficiently distracted by tacos was: I have paid my bills for the second half of July and put a little money into savings and I still have what looks like enough money for groceries, so yay me! Every month this feels like a crapshoot and I still have to keep my fingers crossed against unexpected expenses, but I feel good about it right now

Thank you!

ALso, Director of Taco Relations somehow sounds like a job for C3PO or similar: Human-Taco Relations?

Our wings are not tired.

I still have what looks like enough money for groceries

May I suggest tacos?

I have also figured out that, given what I know about my income and obligations for the first half of August, I should be spending no more than $200/month on food (and anything else that isn't bills, really) and that's a bummer. $50/week is just not a lot of groceries. I think I figure this out every month and am sad about it every time like it's brand new information. Living within my means is hard. When I just couldn't live within my means it was, in some ways, easier because if I know I'm going deeper in debt no matter what, what's going a little deeper a little faster matter, but the difference between staying afloat and sinking seems like a more important line to not cross if I can manage it. Most first world problem ever?

Oh, geez, no -- I think food budgeting is fraught and for damn good reason.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In food news, Turkey Hill did a survey and America's favorite ice cream flavor is "choco mint chip" (not sure if they mean mint ice cream with chocolate chips - which is what I'd guess - or chocolate ice cream with mint chips). In bad ice cream news, Kraft is going to sell a limited edition macaroni and cheese ice cream. um ....

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Have you considered Parmesan cheese ice cream? [link]

I will now. That sounds intriguing.

I am less intrigued by mac and cheese ice cream but I would try it if given the opportunity. Might be good, who knows?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know. I know it would not be good.
