I look more rad than Lutheranism

there is nitro cold brew coffee on tap

Okay, my kitchen is incredibly disappointing this morning in light of this news.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I bought some canned nitro coffee recently because my stomach can actually handle cold brew but not thinking that I would have the same problem with nitro coffee that I had with nitro ice cream, but my lungs were equally unhappy.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Zenkitty!

There's a coffeehouse near me that has been advertising nitro coffee for about two years now. I've gone in about 5 times over those years, and it's never been available. Now I'm doubly disappointed in them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The nearest to me Starbucks usually doesn't have nitro but I guess they got the capability recently because last time I was ordering it was available and I got some but I was driving while drinking it so I don't really even know how it tastes.

Happy Zenkitty Day!!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I came very close to investing in a home nitro cold brew system and then realized I already have 10+ coffeemakers and should stop. But having it on tap at the office (and for free!) makes me feel much better about coming back to work.

Happy Zen Day!

I like the sound of nitro coffee, but I confess I don't really know what it is. I'll google.

I used a hammock in a hammock stand over the weekend. I feel like that's a thing that should be reported.

Temporary crown #2 just done. Making progress! It looks weird, though. Shorter than the permanent one will have to be. Next up: wisdom teeth out on the 20th.

I am jealous of your office coffee, Jess, definitely. The Keurig that had been in the spare office that my team used for conference calls got moved out to the kitchen that my new desk is near. I have mixed feelings about that.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We have a new Keurig-type coffee maker in the office (with people in, they needed a source of caffeine); it's a Flavia. It's not bad ... a distinct improvement on the old coffeemaker which was basically an industrial-sized Mr. Coffee. The coffee (we always got Folgers ... which was NOT the best part of waking up) would sit and get nasty. And people would take all but a tiny bit and leave it on the warmer to burn, stink up the area and solidify in the pot. The machine developed a serious leak, so we wouldn't be able to use it anyway; they decided on the individual coffee packs as a way to avoid contact between people through the coffee maker. I was the one who figured out how to use the milk froth pack ... which was nasty. And I've been running tutorials on how to use the machine (and refilling the water).

Thinking about nitro cold brew made me look online for (non-nitro) cold brew coffeemakers, and I am cracking up at how this actual description of one of them opens: "Flavorful Cold Brew - Don't live in squalor by drinking a watered down coldbrew that tastes like a rain puddle." I feel seen. (And judged.)

I admit I just buy my cold brew—normally at Trader Joe’s but last night at the Safeway because I was there. And I was v amused—there’s a brand I’d seen before, Chameleon, that had a concentrated cold brew that said “makes up to 48 oz!” And it was $10.99. Then next to it there was…unconcentrated?…cold brew that was 46 oz and was $6.99 but on sale for $5. Tricky tricky!!

But I would still enjoy having nitro cold brew on tap.
