Oh, Pacey! You blind idiot. Can't you see she doesn't love you?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

But kind of a nifty excuse for not going to work, "sorry, but the vaccine made me magnetic and now my key card doesn't work so I can't get in".

Yeah, I have had a magnetic ass in the past and ruined multiple hotel cards….until I realized it was actually the magnet on my purse, or when I ruined a bunch of Paris metro cards not realizing it was the magnet on my watch band….but the vaccine has not made me magnetic. Good grief.

Coding and Sleeping

There was a woman testifying for a state hearing and she insisted that vaccines make you magnetic.

Turns out you can treat that using talcum powder.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, I have had a magnetic ass in the past

Dang, girl.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

All this "Magnets, how do they work" is reminding me that Insane Clown Posse turned out to be surprisingly sensible about vaccines. I hope I am remembering that correctly.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I guess they're professionally crazy, not in their personal day-to-day life.

I'll give the nephew some leeway on account of being an 11-year old, but I'm pretty sure if lightning strikes were killing more than half a million people a year in the US alone we'd be seeing it on the news 24/7. Assuming television broadcasting antennas hadn't all been melted into slag by that point.

Ugh a friend of mine from college in Arkansas just got covid despite being fully vaxxed. I mean, she had a mild case, fever headache and congestion, nothing hospitalizing but still. Ugh.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, that sort of thing is why I'm in no rush to get back to the office, even though I'm fully vaxxed. I'm glad it's not too severe for her.

I did not get magnetic powers or 5G. My hair's a bit curlier than before the pandemic, but then most of my greys are coming in curly, and there are quite a few more of them now, so that's probably why. If Pfizer had a jab that made your hair curl they would have sold it to Garnier years ago.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ugh a friend of mine from college in Arkansas just got covid despite being fully vaxxed.

This is why we need herd immunity! (The real kind you get from high vaccination rates, not the bullshit kind where we just let everyone get Covid.)

We've talked about a cross-country family road trip this summer if the Canadian border doesn't open up, but I'm kind of terrified that we'd be putting the unvaccinated 10 year-old at risk traveling through anti-vax parts of the country.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

No special powers here from the vaccine. Oh, well.

Mr. S started camp today, and it seems to have gone well.
