Timelies all!
A little over a month since Nova passed, and Luna is still rather skittish. Oh, well. It may take a long time for her to be less scared of us, if it happens at all.
Meanwhile, Mr. S had his first swim lesson today.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

The big girl is back home, and since I picked her up at noon I saved some money, so the total was about $10K. Still TOO MUCH omg.
She has actual staples on her belly and I put the big floppy daisy collar on her, and she's just laying around because she is on meds. The big problem will be keeping her from trying to get on the couch: I may have to crate her when I go out, which will be difficult with the big floppy collar. We shall see.
I think she's a Ravenpuff because she's pretty smart and not into dog-social things, although she likes people.
Good god, Suela. Glad she's doing okay.
$10k?? Yikes. Do you have pet insurance?
Would a hufflepuff dog like people, or other dogs? (Or both I suppose)
Oh dag, Consuela. Glad everything came out OK.
Yikes, sorry about the price tag, but good to hear the surgery went well.
I don't know which house my animals would be in because, much to my son's dismay, I have never read the books. Maybe I'll try again this summer, but I couldn't get into them when my son devoured them. He has reread them so many times!
I am in Otter Lake. Did 800+ some miles Monday and 500+ yesterday. The first day was pretty effortless, but yesterday was northern VA, DC, and PA who are apparently competing for Worst Highway Experience ever award. My Nav system changed my route 4 times going through DC/Baltimore, which likely helped but it was a record. Started the day with thinking west around DC, then changed to East, then other minor work arounds apparently. Drove 6AM-10PM Monday. The kitty was mighty happy when I let her out of the crate in the hotel room. Under the beds was an option so I was a bit concerned that I would never get her out, but she was so happy she alternated between exploring every inch of the room to snuggling back and forth repeatedly. Got her back into the crate and then did 7AM-8PM yesterday and brought her home to my son. Haven't heard yet this morning how she is making out.
Now I am at my place, which is disgusting after the 8 months of being closed up. I have the windows open and the space heaters running to help with the musty smell. My sister gave me some scented candles, but I need more of a fix. Started the laundry and cleaning and ugh so much today. All I did last night was get my computer and phone set up so I could work today.
Also, have a mentioned how much I love my autopilot? I turn it off in massive congestion because of the need to tailgate, but for the many hundreds of miles of rolling hills and countryside it is so relaxing.
~ma to all.
Oh wow, Laura, that's a lot of driving! Glad you made it!
My choir director has been sending daily music pieces this whole year, and he goes through little phases, and is currently in a musical theater phase, and this morning's selection was sung by John Barrowman! [link]
Laura, the HP audio books are fabulous.
I should try that, msbelle. On my next long drive! Or maybe a good option for the next week while I am cleaning this place.
Oh yeah, those audio books are really well done. The His Dark Materials audio books are really good too.
