I have hit the "but I COULD be doing things!" stage of re-entering life. When it was all quaran-times, OK, fine I'll sit at home doing nothing. But now I'm looking at my empty calendar going "but...surely SOMETHING is happening I could go to?? Do I need to reach out to friends I'm forgetting about and PLAN something? (probably)"

I have been ramping up the social interaction lately, with tentative plans to get together with JenK (among others). Just saw JonB out visiting with the AWB a few weeks back.

But I'm still waiting for the new...rhythm, I guess, to the week?

Matilda starts working as a counselor at summer day camp starting tomorrow, and as of July JZ can go use the UCSF library as workspace a couple times a week. So we're slowly getting away from everybody at home all the time.

Nothing's really going to be normal-ish until school starts in Mid-August and Matilda is on campus every day, and doing after school stuff.

I've been lucky getting back into the swing of things... in that I'm often the default planner anyway. I would like to change it up a bit, though -- we tend to meet up and eat out a lot. I want more variety, but I haven't figured out what yet.

Except we need to have a game night over here for sure. Need a dining room table that fits more than just us, though. I don't know why we're dragging our feet so much on that. Well, dental work is expensive, for one, I guess. My goal is a Labor Day-ish gathering over here. There, I said it. Now it's official.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary has taken Mr. S to the pool today.

Thrive to spite them

msbelle-it's not after hours, the merch team does some of that from 6-2 or 6-3 depending. So the processing team deals with the truck and getting stuff off boxes, and sensored and on racks to go out, and then the merch team puts things out. They also do mark downs, floor moves, etc. There is always a lot for merchandising to do.

I was looking around on the work website and found there is a lead position open at the Brevard store I worked at so it got me thinking about different things. I did talk to my direct manager about this, I said I knew they probably had people in mind for the open lead position but I'd like take on more responsibility and work in that direction.

And then today was a tough day in terms of finding stuff for orders and it started to get me down and frustrated but I tried to stop and reframe my thinking.

So we will see what happens.

Me and my big ideas!

Good going bringing up your desire to grow there, askye.

The surgeon reports that the surgery went well and they didn't find any unexpected tumors or masses. But I won't get the biopsy report back before Friday...

Don't let your pet get sick on a holiday weekend, folks! it'll cost 3x as much as it should.

I’m glad the surgery went well, Consuela.

Shooting for team lead sounds like a good idea, askye. I'm glad you spoke to a manager so they can be thinking about how to help you get there, too.

I had a dream last night in which I was at some kind of corporate team building camp that involved a polar bear, and at no time during the dr4eam did I think OMGWTFBBQPOLARBEAR and now I am disappointed in my subconscious.
