For everyone following along with the car saga. Mac picked up the new car and has declared that it drives “clunky“. I am hoping all that means is that it needs an alignment. Due to his work schedule at Amazon which is 4 AM to 3 PM, getting the car to our mechanic is a challenge. He still has the old car though. So tomorrow he will drop the new car off after work to the mechanic, he’ll take the old car to work on Friday, and the mechanic will call me if there are any big issues with the new car. We have to get this done on Friday because we only have a five day return option on the new car. If there are any big issues, I have contacted some retired friends nearby who can go get the new car and return it to the Dealership. So much coordination doing this from out of state.Fingers crossed nothing big is wrong and the old car can also get sold to a dealership on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Damm, Toddson, that is very angry-making indeed.
Car~ma for Mac. It could be just his lack of experience with a variety of cars. They handle quite differently and can feel odd.
Toddson, that is complete bullshit.
That’s ridiculous, Toddson. They should be giving you back payments, not cutting your current one.
Utterly infuriating, Toddson. They owe you infinitely more, and either they know it and they're assholes or they don't and they're a pack of hopeless idiots.
Have fun storming the castle, shrift! Also, I'm curious to know how Sonic works out. I've been vaguely looking at Sonic or Monkeybrain (or Ting, if they launch in SF as they've been vaguely promising for a couple of years) as alternatives to the hellscape of Comcast once we become homeowners.
I’d think if they give you less than other people and it’s not enough for your commuting costs, that would be age discrimination. DC has pretty strict laws. You might point that out to them, that they wouldn’t want to be at risk of discriminating like that. Of course they wouldn’t.
Thanks for your support ... I'm hoping I can keep what I've been getting, but I need to hang on here, and making any kind of fuss (including an age discrimination suit) would be damaging to me. So far, I haven't had the monthly credit added to my card, but it's only the first, so I'll see if it comes through.
How much longer do you have to stick it out before retirement?
I'm 69 so, in theory, I could retire in a year.
