See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ugh, Bill Cosby won his appeal and is being released.

WHAT. Ugh indeed.

Our wings are not tired.

I can hardly believe his spokesperson called it justice for Black America. So vile.

Oh, but in better news, Donald Rumsfeld died.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a relief. I wasn't sure he could.

I am disheartened by the appeal decision but I guess I can see the legal argument at least. It's exhausting, though.

Our Back in Office date just got pushed from 7/6 to 8/30. I think. I thought that was what the email meant but now people are asking as if it were ambiguous so now I am less certain.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Mini rant coming on: I've been coming into the office almost every day all along. I took time off to move, I've taken a few vacation days to goof off, I've taken a few sick days. But otherwise, I've come in and taken care of things - collected the mail and sorted through for the junk to discard, magazines to distribute, checks to get deposited and invoices to get paid. I've watered the plants, opened up the dishwasher and icemaker so they didn't mildew, got maintenance down to deal with a major leak (twice), notified them of a seriously cracked window so it could be fixed.

Now the office is looking at re-opening. To tempt the people who've been working from home (two have moved out of state and so will be working from home full time) to come in, and so they don't have to take the icky public transit, they're going to offer a substantial transportation subsidy. Meanwhile, I've been getting less than half of the maximum they've offered credited to my transit card each month, so I've been taking public transit. I was told, right after the last fare increase, that I would never be allowed any more. Ever. Even though it didn't cover even my basic work commute. I got myself a senior transit card, since I qualify, which means my fare is now half the usual ... and, in response, they're talking about cutting what I get, since I'm only paying half fares. And, since moving, my commuting costs have gone up.

I am, as you might imagine, angry about this.

That is bullshit, Toddson. They owe you some cash.

Our wings are not tired.

That is ridiculous, Todd. Good Grief! I remember you going in by yourself for the longest time during the worst of the pandemic. Grrrrrrr
