Today is an Epic birthday, celebrating the birth of Epic Tangent. I hope the birthday vacation is spectacular and that the year to come is joyful.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Pix, know that I am virtually hugging you so close. I remember well both of my parents getting so angry when their kids tried to get them to do what they should do when their health was failing! Mom used to shake her head and stick out her tongue at us behind our backs. The role reversal stage just sucks for both sides. Both my parents were born in 1921 and would have been 100 this year. I was able to take turns being the bad cop with my 3 siblings and their spouse so it wasn't nearly as overwhelming as being the only child. Short version: Sending you so much ~ma and love for strength and patience.
Pix, you're in my thoughts. Tons of ~ma for your and your dad.
I would be so happy if people that worked with food continued to wear a mask forever.
We had our usual Father's Day brunch yesterday. It was fun, but I'm exhausted today.
Thanks, everyone. I don't have much more to say, but thanks.
I'm sorry things are so complicated and stressful, Pix.
My Father's Day was also complicated, thanks to the family news that came to light a couple of months ago. I did not enjoy it. I liked it when things were not complicated.
Boo to complications. Life should have less of those for sure.
My church has made adaptations - elbow bumps instead of handshakes, for one. I'm always amused when we go up for communion and there's an usher offering hand sanitizer and I can't help thinking, "the holy hand sanitizer of Antioch".
Kristin, it's all so much. Wishing you much strength as you do what you can to help you dad. He is so lucky to have you.
What Cindy said.
Hugs to you Kristin. Dealing with that sort of situation is wearying, and a marathon rather than a sprint.
