Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Our wings are not tired.

First, today we celebrate the birth of Javachik! May the year to come be filled with joy.

We can walk to downtown Dexter, which looks like this

How exciting! Many possibilities there.

It has has a ginormous goofy looking garage

DH would fall in love. Every time we look or real estate or even go for a drive he makes note of spacious garages. An 800 sq ft house with a 5000 sq ft garage would be ideal for him.

Wow, it's already been taken down.

Excellent timing and find!

information libertarian

David, that sounds like an extremely Athens story and documentary. I used to see Kevin Barnes of of Montreal in the hallways at our elementary school in Athens; he had a daughter the year below Casper.

We had a teenager adventure this morning - took kids to airport with boarding passes in hand, they were at the gate an hour early... and never noticed that the sign said Miami until after their plane (at another gate - they changed it) had already boarded and pushed back. Casper was able to handle the rebooking for tomorrow thanks to a kind gate agent and we picked them up and got donuts. Everyone feels pretty bad about the whole thing. Except the dog who is so glad everyone came back.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Except the dog who is so glad everyone came back.

Dogs are very forgiving that way.

The time between me finding and downloading the movie, and the link disappearing was about an hour.

Cool! I did love visiting you guys when you were in Athens.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

What a morning, Flea!

Oh dear, flea. Best laid plans and all that. Donuts sounds like an appropriate response.

That’s unfortunate flea! But glad they were able to rebook? And now I want doughnuts.

(Actually what I want is for work to feel less overwhelming—I’m taking over a new project snd it’s in bad shape and I can’t fix it all right now right now but ahhh it needs to be fixed eventually and it’s So Much Stuff)

Also my lower back has been hurting a lot and it makes me feel incredibly old.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Javachik!

Mr. S's school year ends Wed. I think that, overall, it went pretty well. He'll be back there for 1st grade.

Thrive to spite them

I'm so glad Matilda's wisdom tooth extraction went smoothly. Seeing her and Emmett together was a nice part of that day.

Work had been...adjustments to the new manager and then corporate decided to make changes to portable phones.

They took them all. The managers, etc all have to use Jabber on the scanners. And it's down half the time since this has started. Trying to contact anyone is a nuisance. Also the announcements are now super quiet and muffled so you have to really strain to hear it.

Dad is coming up tomorrow to be here for my birthday which is Wed. Also getting my haircut tomorrow. Dad is staying with mom since we don't have room here but he'll visit here and stuff.

Still have no idea what I'm actually going to do for my birthday.

I'm feeling weird about turning 48. A lot of mixed feelings about stuff about my life and just tired of settling and being so worried about not being good enough. So I'm working on making changes and I don't know how I'm going to do it all but I will.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Changes are good, Askye, if you're the one making them, for you and what you want.

Wow. Ghost town on the board today. I can hear the wind whistle down the empty streets...

Our wings are not tired.

I got up early this morning because Brendon was up early. Figured I would take a walk before the sun came up. Ha! It is just too humid and hot. Not happening. I did dead head the flowers and got soaked with sweat. He got up to go do some stuff at an office before they got in and is now trying to do all the things before he gets his hand surgery. I've tried to make it clear that I can help him with whatever, or if it takes muscle one of the b-ball kids can do it. Still, he only has two modes, in motion or asleep. I predict a lot of naps in the near future. He is super concerned about going under, which understandable since he never has before. I can only drop him off then pick him up again in 2-1/2 hours since they are still under Covid restrictions.
