Hugs are the best! It pleases me so to visualize you enjoying each others company.
I had hugs yesterday as well! Old neighbors and friends enjoyed food and socialization. Fed my grandson and rocked him to sleep. His mom was working remotely the whole day, and is today as well. Her schedule is now Sunday-Thursday. DH and I work today as well, but that is a 365 day a year thing. Also doing housework and preparing food stuffs for the billiard boys later.
Timelies all!
The board's pretty quiet today..
We are scheduled like it is a typical Monday. It is not as busy as Sat and Sunday we're but it's not the typical Monday.
We are a stressed out mess today.
Last night M's mom got mad at Scrappy the cat and threw him outside and said he was going to be an outside cat now. Scrappy jumped Penny I think. This morning Scrappy was crying and scratching at the door so she let him back in.
There is more cat drama but it's boring really.
Dad might come up for my birthday.
That's all that has been happening with me
I always hate that, askye. I've especially noticed it at movie theaters over the years -- Sunday night of a long weekend is staffed like any Sunday night, when it's way more crowded than that.
I had a nice indoor cookout (cooked out, ate in) with family today, but here was the shocking thing: NO ONE in the room had seen Lilo and Stitch! (My age, 13, parents of 20-something, none of them!) None of them knew what ohana means! I really feel like I've somehow failed them all.
Jesse that is surprising!! But what a treat they have in store!!
I got bored just now and moved all the furniture in my living room around. Not going to work for the long haul since I put the couch in front of/blocking the fireplace, but it’ll do for summer and for a change!
I spent the weekend cleaning my house and reading Jenny Colgan novels. Also had dinner with friends two nights in a row! So nice.
So now my house is much cleaner and I have a stack of stuff to go to Good Will if they ever accept donations again. And I want to go to Scotland because Jenny Colgan makes it sound wonderful.
NO ONE in the room had seen Lilo and Stitch!
Hangs head in shame. Yes, it is on my list. As Calvin says, "God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind, I will never die".
Having 3 days without a single call from a doctor needing my help was super cool. Did some relaxing. Alas, DH had to rewire an entire office over the weekend so he did not chill as much. He had one of our b-ball kids help him so I didn't have to. I'm hoping my days of fishing in walls and crimping network cable ends is done.
I bought a rack of ribs from Wild Fork, which you bake in the bag. Billiard boys declared them mighty tasty. I didn't taste them myself. They had a Memphis style and Kansas City style and not having a clue what that meant I went for Memphis. If I get them again I'll try Kansas City.
Now that I have come to the realization that today is Tuesday I need to do prep for my dear cleaning help because I don't want her to be discouraged.
You chose well Laura, though Kansas City style is good too.
I spent a great deal of yesterday napping, which is an ideal use of a holiday. Got together with Mom for pizza and salad last night and changed some light bulbs in her kitchen.
Napping in the hammock? Sounds like a good use of the holiday.
