My Nilly Calendar shows a doubly excellent day with this day being the anniversary of the first Buffista board way back in 1997. That was before my time which didn't occur until 2001. Also, it is happy birthday day for Hayden, who I don't think visits Natter often, but keep him in your thoughts.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
making another appeal with the insurance company
Topic!Cindy, is that an internal appeal or an external appeal?
Ugh, Cindy, that is absolutely infuriating.
this day being the anniversary of the first Buffista board way back in 1997.
Twenty four years!
I see Hayden on FB, so I'll make sure to ping him.
I am BEYOND frustrated with work. With no prior warning to us in HR, or specifically me who fields most COVID questions, the mask mandate for 90% of our offices was removed. No screening before entering, no proof of vaccination required. The statement reads “if you have not been vaccinated…..please continue to wear your mask.” No power for supervisors to do anything though.
I am forwarding questions to my boss (SINCE THIS WAS NOT DISCISSED WITH ME AT ALL AND I HAVE NO FAQ), and she is ignoring the straight answers. I love that they are saying “there is no way to verify who is vaccinated” PATENTLY FALSE.
So, I just sent her an email asking if my responses are ok
Ques: “what do we do if an unvaccinated worker refuses to wear mask?”
Answ: Nothing
ION - no hair pats needed, I just need to share and get it out. It’s been 10 days if daily texts and phone message and videos and emails to Mac with no response. His bank account is $0. I think this might be a turning point. I am not sure if he is ever going to be in contact with us again.
I agree with your frustration. Almost all business places I know about have the policy of signs and policies of mask wearing, but employees are not to challenge the unmasked. My SIL who drives bus in NYC says she can neither challenge riders on masks or payment. She asks and if they don't she can do nothing, except maybe give them dirty looks from under her mask.
I'm sorry, msbelle, I wish I didn't know that pain so well. All I can say is that at 29 my Brendon seems to be getting his act together. He still has his silent stretches, but self sufficient at last!
I'm sorry, Cindy. Insurance companies are a plague across the landscape. I hope the next appeal works.
msbelle, I'm sorry Mac is being unresponsive, and I hope that changes soon. The mask stuff looks frustrating, too.
My university is private, and they're requiring vaccinations from everyone who doesn't have a medical or religious exemption. And they're making it really easy for people to get vaccinated, including paid time off to get it done. So I can't really complain about that aspect. I still have no idea where I'll be working (physically) come fall, though. I'm not sure anyone knows.
Officially, I don't have to wear a mask any more in my county. But the employees in my regular grocery store still wear them, and I feel like it would be rude not to also wear one so long as they do.
It's unconscionable that insurance companies can override medical professionals' orders. I'm sorry this is continuing, Cindy.
msbelle, that's all really crappy. All of it.
Thanks, Beverly!
Most businesses and people are still wearing masks here, and I'm good with that.
