Before and after is still a good plan Steph!! Just for personal use, not for internet sharing. And good to have if you ever start to doubt yourself about whether things warranted hiring someone?
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
A million years ago I read a short story that postulated that menopause and whatever the parallel male thing is are interrupted forms of a transformation like unto dissolving into goo within a cocoon and within the story some environmental change made it possible to complete that change. I think about that a lot. If Intelligent Design were a real thing, something like that would probably happen.
I bet it was one of Larry Niven's Known Space stories that featured Pak Protectors
Happy Belated Birthday, Vortex!
I whacked six inches off my hair the other day--well, on the sides and front. H finished up the back. He's getting quite good at relieving the broom-edge with snippy point cuts into the blunt edge. I am not ashamed to appear in public, and it feels so much better.
Congrats on the upcoming grand nibbling, EpicTangent!
Question - when you butter your toast, if you butter your toast, do you make sure every single crumb is covered, end to end, or do you throw butter in the general direction of the toast and figure some will land? Or does whether something else is then going on the toast figure in?
I'm an every single crumb needs to be covered person, and it somehow feels like a "kid" mentality. I'm not going to change my ways; it just occurred to me as I was buttering my toast this morning that I wanted to survey people.
In the words of Food Network's Jeff Mauro, crust to crust is a must. What's the point of buttering if you aren't going to do it right?

This. I butter my toast because I want butter on all of the toast.
I feel like buttering toast has a lot of variables and is too complex a subject for me to get into this morning

Hm, probably, that does sound like what I remember. That's basically all it was about, so whatever introduced them, I would guess.
