May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Just got a text that my niece is being induced today - new baby niece on the way!

Yeah, and as I recall there was some sort of exoskeleton/armor being grown which also sounds like a pretty good idea.

Maybe an even better idea than bubble wrap!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I think an exoskeleton made of bubble wrap would not last very long because it would be too tempting to pop all the bubbles.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What if you could grow new bubbles?

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Can confirm that denture tablets work to clean gunk out of stainless steel water bottles! No idea what the previous owner was drinking out of that, but wowzers.

Yes, this is about the level of braining I'm up for today. Well, that and debating a haircut.

That sounds like a household tip I might need to know. I bought denture tablets to clean something else so I could actually put that to use, too. I'm pretty good about only putting water in my water bottles, but my water is hard and sometimes, somehow, there is gunk.

I guess our People Dept has been getting a lot of "The CDC says we don't have to wear masks" emails because they just sent out basically "Cal-OSHA says we do - get vaccinated"

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

The Cincinnati Hoarding folks are coming tomorrow morning to get to work on the office and (I think) the basement. We're definitely having them clean out the basement, but I don't know if that's tomorrow or Thursday. I should do before-and-after photos, but I wouldn't show them to a single soul ever, so there's no point.

I have to keep the kitty in the bedroom tomorrow while the crew is here. It's 50-50 odds on whether the kitty will be delirious with excitement that he's allowed in the Forbidden Room or whether he'll hide under the bed because of all the unfamiliar loud noise. Maybe I can get him stoned on catnip.

Before and after is still a good plan Steph!! Just for personal use, not for internet sharing. And good to have if you ever start to doubt yourself about whether things warranted hiring someone?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

A million years ago I read a short story that postulated that menopause and whatever the parallel male thing is are interrupted forms of a transformation like unto dissolving into goo within a cocoon and within the story some environmental change made it possible to complete that change. I think about that a lot. If Intelligent Design were a real thing, something like that would probably happen.

I bet it was one of Larry Niven's Known Space stories that featured Pak Protectors
