Then yesterday, her second day, her boss said she was killing it, which has her very excited. She was honest with her boss telling her about her anxiety issues, including that she was working hard on overcoming them. Boss was super supportive and encouraging. Having both of them working will help a lot, particularly with her self confidence. Woo!
That's fantastic! Such a boost for her.
ION, we just got Matilda a vax appointment for Saturday! So frickin' excited to have her vaccinated.
Dillo has an appointment for 3:30 today!
Love seeing all the Buffista teens getting vaxxed!
Yay Buddhists (ok autocorrect changed that twice I give up) teens being vaccinated!!
Also yay Laura’s son’s gf! And that son seems to be doing well up in NY?
Also Laura you can totally get hammocks with mosquito netting! Plenty of camping hammock things with under quilts and rain fly and so on!
It is so wonderful to see the Buffista teens getting their vaccines, but each time I think how did they get to be teens so fast!
Yes, I think when I go north I have to invest in a porch hammock. Yes, son is doing well in NY so far as I can tell. He did leave the first job he had for an even less stressful position doing stocking at Big Lots. He had been doing work at a distribution warehouse but tossing thousands of pounds a day onto conveyor belts was getting stressful to his body, although he did stick to it for abut 6 months. Tossing kitty litter and cases of apple juice gave him muscles he never had before. He's brilliant, but can't handle stress at all and bombed out of countless tech jobs. It would start with everyone thrilled with how fast and smart he was, but one after another they ended quickly. Now he happily shows up and either stocks shelves or runs the cash register for a Big Lots store and goes home to play video games. He does quite well in stocks and virtual currency trading so that is some brain exercise for him.
All I want is for him to be happy and financially independent from me and that finally appears to have happened. He is 29 now.
Laura’s eldest son and mac se do similar. Mac needs to be earning a min of $15/hr at a min 40 hr/week job to afford his studio apartment solo. He does not currently have that and rent is due in 2 weeks.
Here in Florida the cheapest we could find was a $1000 studio which included nothing. In NY he pays $610 for a roomy 1BR apartment including heat. That made his decision to stay there a no brainer.
Ahem, hammocks belong between trees. If you do not have the trees for this to happen then you can't live a hammock lifestyle.
I KNEW that would get ND’s attention!
I was actually getting kind of concerned that we hadn't heard from him yet. Phew!
Yay Laura's son & gf!
C'mon, Mac, give your mom a break and get with the program!
