Ahem, hammocks belong between trees. If you do not have the trees for this to happen then you can't live a hammock lifestyle.
I would not have pegged you as a hammock life prescriptivist. Will note in your file for future.
My dentist visit was, well, not delightful, exactly, but, damn, are my teeth clean! The people were delightful, anyway. And now I have a treatment plan to get all kinds of crap taken care of. You've been good to me mouth; let me take care of you now.
Ha! I was waiting for the hammock response from ND.
The most memorable hammock experience I have was a post childbirth visit to Key West. We had a room with a large balcony which included a hammock. (no trees) Baby Brendon and I spent countless hours gently swaying in the tropical breezes while Big Brendon waited on us. I often think if I could rig up a hammock with mosquito netting I could sleep outdoors in it every night. Should get on that plan....
It might also be time for me to attempt a news break. Between the Republicans shredding their party and the situation in Israel, horrific suffering in India, and and and, it is just overwhelmingly discouraging. Perhaps burying my head in the sand might help. I've heard ignorance is bliss.
Oh! Separate post to report very cool news. As previously reported my son and his girlfriend went to NY with me last summer after failing to find affordable housing in FL on his meager wages. He found higher wages and lower rent in NY and decided to see what this snow stuff was all about. (Note not NYC, but Rome in Central NY) His GF suffers from pretty severe social anxiety and I am fairly certain never had tried to get a job. We went about getting her birth certificate and SS card and last week she got a job, which started Tuesday. At a deli/bakery! Working the counter and kitchen as needed, being trained on it all. DH, son, and I have been working really hard on her confidence and letting her know how proud we are of this huge step. She was of course extremely nervous her first day, but said she felt pretty good about how it went. Then yesterday, her second day, her boss said she was killing it, which has her very excited. She was honest with her boss telling her about her anxiety issues, including that she was working hard on overcoming them. Boss was super supportive and encouraging. Having both of them working will help a lot, particularly with her self confidence. Woo!
Turkey post. Yes, I need to put dentist on my list too. Maybe in the fall. Ugh.
I went to the dentist a few months ago; it went well. He commented that people seem to be brushing, flossing and so on more. He attributed it to people being at home; I was wondering if wearing a mask might be a contributing factor.
That's such great news and fantastic for her on so many levels! Awesome, Laura.
The Ohio vaccine prizes thing is weird, but hey, I might as well register.
NYC is giving people free Shake Shack fries with proof of vaccination. Not quite a $5M lottery but hey, free fries.

That's fantastic! Such a boost for her.
ION, we just got Matilda a vax appointment for Saturday! So frickin' excited to have her vaccinated.
Dillo has an appointment for 3:30 today!
Love seeing all the Buffista teens getting vaxxed!
