Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Toddson!

I hope that’s a good indication, askye.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That sounds really positive, askye.

Happy Birthday, Toddson!

We gots nothing with our shots but a big sigh of relief. I'll take it.

Our wings are not tired.

Very encouraging news, askye.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, askye, how wonderful!

Oh good! Yeah, I can't imagine stroking someone's face *not* being a purposeful movement.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

The Cincinnati Hoarding folks' estimate for cleaning out the office and treating the mold is really reasonable! So we may have them clean out the basement, too, which would be fucking fantastic.

Our occasional lawn guy also gave us a really good estimate to get all the overgrowth (ivy and honeysuckle are invasive as hell and I hate them with a burning fury) and yard debris out of the backyard so we can actually use and enjoy it (well, *after* the cicadas are gone; we have SO MANY cicada chimneys in the backyard, it is not gonna be pretty).

So I'm feeling pretty hopeful today about actually having some nice things moving forward. Totally buying a hammock for the backyard. AFTER the cicadas are gone.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Steph! Use that money to make your life nicer.

Woo-hoo, that is awesome!

I want a hammock, but... while we have a great backyard view with neighbors' surrounding, gorgeous trees, we don't have any big trees in our yard, so, alas, not tree hammock for Jen. DP thinks stand hammocks are weird. Maybe, but I'm working on him. I love a hammock.

I'm getting a stand hammock because then I can put the hammock wherever I want to in the yard. I'll be drunk on hammock power!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think a stand hammock with a nice, angled Beach umbrella could be deluxe.

Put a little bluetooth speaker out there to listen to baseball games, podcasts or music. A little table for a glass of iced tea, a fat book. Life's good.
