I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We took Gary's mom out for dinner last night. It was the first time in a long time we had eaten at a restaurant. The restaurant was fine(although they messed up cooking Gary's mom's filet twice) but Mr. S was being very oppositional throughout dinner, and ran away from us in the parking lot. sigh...

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I missed the cicadas, I guess. I was in Monroe County in 2001 and 2018, and they were in my home county of Livingston.

Our wings are not tired.

My neighbor has determined the reason why Mulder has apparently abandoned us. Well, we think he probably still comes home at night. He's a drug addict! She has some catnip plants that she puts outside during the day for her cats, but brings in at night since they would obliterate them if she left them out. She says he comes over in the morning for breakfast and to hang with her couple of cats. She feeds them all outside. She is totally chill about the whole thing and is going to give me some plants to keep here too. She said cats don't really belong to anyone and we just kid ourselves if we think they belong to us.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

We randomly had a few cicadas (in SD) a few years back. It was a very "WTF is making that noise?!?" experience.

They're so fucking loud when they're at their peak (Maximum Cicada!).

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

A few restaurants have announced they'll be closing their outdoor seating when we hit Maximum Cicada because of the noise. Also, the chance of having a little extra garnish - or dinner companion - at that time.

In regard to cats - a friend once talked about a cat she'd had. She didn't allow him on the furniture, kept him to a limited number of feedings and treats. He'd disappear during the day and, once, she went to a neighbor's and he was lying on the couch watching TV and the neighbor told her that he came over every day and she'd feed him and let him lie around. (Is this what they mean by tom-catting around?)

Art Crawl!!!

Hahahaha! Toddson's friend's cat. That's the sort of thing they discovered when they put mini-cameras on housecats.

If it is possible to have be languishing physically while stewing mentally - that's where I'm at.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Vent - I have tried a couple of times the last week to call Mac. No call back, but he eventually responded to a text. He texted on Mother’s Day. He told me he would call of FT his grandmother, but only texted her also.

I decided to just call today until he picks up, it is his day off. I have called 4 times. I’ve left messages. Mostly ridiculous ones with me singing my message to him.

This is the last month I am paying his rent, he needs a plan. He won’t talk with me.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, Mac. Stop stressing your Mom!

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, Mac. I'm sorry. It is so little damn effort to do the minimum to make your life cushy, and yet.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Years ago my sister had two indoor-outdoor cats. When she was getting ready to move one of her retired neighbors came by and admitted that one of the cats was more indoor-indoor, with a brief jaunt between. He’d been coming by for an extra meal or three and keeping the neighbor company for years. My sister moved with one cat.
