You are a perfectly fine human being, Tep.
This is true. You know what's good? Getting some help in a situation like this.
Put aside your reflexive shame-response, and see that this is part of the process of fixing the situation. It's almost like seeing a therapist. And alleviating it going forward. It's going to be okay.
When my people came, they were so nice! I was a wreck, though.
I empathize with the feeling, truly. I admire you for doing something hard about a situation you know you want to fix when taking the fixing steps makes you feel shitty, too. And for talking about it - because we all (or mostly all?) have albatrosses of some kind, and seeing someone else handle theirs is... aspirational!
Sounds like some first rate humaning, with a side of adulting there, Teppy!
Buffista birthday calendar shows that today is a celebration of Glamcookie. May the year to come be filled with love and joy.
I’m impressed you managed to both find a company and CALL THEM (!) and set up an appointment, tbh! That seems like the worst part. Personally I’m more than willing to hand someone my money if I don’t have to figure out who to call, call and make an appointment, arrange to have the work done, figure out if there’s a better/more cost effective option, etc etc…
Oh no, sumi, I'm so sorry to hear that! I don't know if she keeps up here as much, but you might talk to Lee/Perkins?
Oh no, sumi! I hope it was caught early enough that it can be treated easily.
When I started learning about prostate cancer and tests and treatments and medicines, I started at cancer.org, but actually found the most helpful resources through YouTube and Facebook. Just remember to treat anything from there with a critical and skeptical eye.
I did go to cancer.org.
I have an appointment with a surgeon on Tuesday. I have the most common form of breast cancer which I am taking as a good thing.
I was pretty stunned yesterday & not feeling up to much today.
I'm sorry, Sumi. The two people closest to me who had this diagnosis, a cousin and an employee, both responded well to treatment and have been cancer free for years. Lots of ~ma for great caregivers and effective treatment.
