IV Benadryl

One of the pre-meds for my second set of chemotherapy infusions was IV Benadryl. But they neglected to mention that to me before the first session, which meant I drove myself to treatment not knowing that I was not allowed to drive home -- or at all, the rest of the day. Awkward!

If it ever made me drowsy at all, I sure didn't perceive it.

I managed to delete the note with all of my replies to the last 150+ posts, so this will only be from memory-ish and I'll miss some people. Sorry.

tommyrot, I am so sorry about March and my condolences. And yes, finding our words is important and empowering. amyparker, I am happy to hear that your father is doing better. Same goes to JZ's brother.

I had more replies for people. I just can't remember those. Meh.

I am OK, for those who asked about the news about the stampede. Some of my colleagues knew some families of those who were in Meron, but my own family and friends are not ultra-orthodox. I am very angry that this happened at all and that safety procedures were ignored.

One fortunate thing about my state's less-than-steller vaccination program was that I and the kids were able to get vaccines at the start of March by going to a grievously under-attended rural event. At the end of the day, they had so much vaccine still available that they just vaccinated everybody regardless of group. We just timed it to arrive near the end and it was vaccines for everybody with no waiting.

Huh. Did that happen to be in Clinton MO? That's where my aunt an uncle travelled to, to get their shots as soon as they could, and they reported a similar experience.

The one we went to was in Bethany, but the decision to go was based on previous rural events.

Gud, I'm glad you got them even tough it's because of bad turnout. I just yesterday heard/read that we (U.S.) aren't likely going to reach herd immunity because of vaccination hesitancy. Boils my blood.

I get vaccine #1 in about an hour!

Yay! So far I'm having the same effect with Shot #2 as I did with #1. Which is to say very mild muscle soreness. No more really than I feel after doing my pushup sets.

I had a sandwich yesterday! Forbidden, delicious bread. Mmmmm.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Maybe I'll celebrate with tacos.
