Sorry, Brazil is not doing so well.
They aren't doing too badly at vaccine rollout though they could certainly be doing better. Teachers over 47, many groups of essential workers, and all folks over 60 eligible in my state and the actual rollout is efficient. Just a few months behind and only Cinovac and AstraZeneca as options, but Phizer is better against the variants that are common here so it's kind of rough.
Everybody is struggling except the US still. We bought basically all the Phizer and are hoarding it hoping the non-vaxxers will vax. :/ (And that's also part of why i had my pick of appointments at Walmart in Thursday...)
We would have waited but the flight was weirdly cheap, New Orleans is fun, and that way we can do our second shot when we get there in June, recover that first week if it knocks us out and have the summer.
I'm the only one in my immediate family who got Moderna, Laura. It was nice to see other Buffistas did, too. brenda and I got ours the same day. I think Sheryl and Cass got Moderna, too. I had pfelt pforsaken because my pfriends and pfamily had been Pfizerized.
When I signed up on the CVS site, it basically said “you get what you get and you don’t complain about it, missy!” So Moderna it is.
Well yay being able to get it ANd hopefully enjoy some snoballs, gris!
Doggo and I went to an indoor/outdoor play part thing (which had some yummy drinks available but not feeling at 1130am!) and got to play with 7 of his cousins! Very cute.
askye, I got my 2nd Moderna shot on Thursday afternoon. I made a point of pre-hydrating, and having supplies laid in - orange juice, V8, Gatorade, Pedialyte, bananas, chicken soup, etc. Felt okay until mid-day Friday, then slept on and off until Saturday afternoon (now). I've had a fever on and off for the last twenty-four hours, but I'm feeling better now.

Yeah, the clinic I went to said it offered Pfizer and Moderna, but basically, they do different brands on different days, and you take what they offer. I wasn't sure what I would get, but I was just happy to get it.

I'm glad you're feeling better, dcp.
askye, on Twitter, my pinned tweet is the start of the thread on how my side-effects played out. If you're a person who wants spoilers, read it. If that makes you feel anxious, avoid it.

Yeah, when I got it, they had it organized so that everybody on the same day gets the same kind, and then you come back exactly 21 days later to get your second one, so they just have to make sure the days line up right.
Kaiser was handing out tokens when you came in the door with Ps or Ms (J&J was on hold) and when I got my first shot there were a lot of people getting their second shot who had to specify what they’d had before. I guess that’ll be me in a couple of weeks.
I was at a POD mostly for DoE employees at a high school gym. We got Moderna because it's a little easier to handle for that kind of setting. The hospital right by the school where my office is does Pfizer. I expect it to be overrun with teenagers in the near future.
My university had several vax sites open to staff and instructors, and they all had Pfizer. So that’s what I got.
