What is even happening?

Teppy, welcome to Club Moderna! We're smaller than the Pfizer Pfederation, but our famous members include Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Francis Collins, and a cadre of Buffistas. Lasting side effects of the Moderna vaccine include confidence and relief.

amyparker, I'm glad your dad is doing better. I'm mentally blessing his friends and booting his arse as I type.

Gris, I'm glad your Mrs. has gotten her first shot. I hope you get yours next week.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay Club Moderna! DH is part of the Pfizer team, but I am Moderna.

Thrive to spite them

I get my 2nd Moderna shot on Wed, which I have off, but I forgot to ask for Thursday off. Hopefully I will be fine but if I'm not at this point the managers are used to ppl calling out bc od vaccine reactions.

What is even happening?

I'm the only one in my immediate family who got Moderna, Laura. It was nice to see other Buffistas did, too. brenda and I got ours the same day. I think Sheryl and Cass got Moderna, too. I had pfelt pforsaken because my pfriends and pfamily had been Pfizerized.

askye, I felt fluey for a day. Pushing water helped a lot, though. If you start now, your body will be well hydrated in advance (which I did not do -- I'm not great at drinking water when it's cold out). Tylenol managed the worst of the symptoms.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay beignets and shots.

Always ready to cheer for that. Different kind of shots than usual, of course, but better in the long run!

Also, it is strangely nice to see Louisiana’s reputation as a 3rd world country not completely validated. Sorry, Brazil is not doing so well.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Thank you, Cindy. I have been doing a fair amount of that myself. It helped that Neighbor Bill has known my dad since before I was hatched and was unimpressed by his trying to shake it off.

Yay, another member of House Moderna! Jim and I are also of their number - he gets his second in a week, and mine is on the 13th. Seconding the suggestion to drink as much water as you can, work the muscles of the arm, and make sure you've had something to eat earlier in the day.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

First Pfizer dose left me with the arm sore starting about 18-24 hours after the shot, but that has faded now at T+44 hours.

I'm tired today, but I'm always tired these days, so it's hard to tell what's side effects and what is just depression.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I got my first haircut in over a year today. In that time my regularly stick-straight hair has developed a wave. My hairdresser and I decided it was a secret Pfizer side effect. Not as useful as 5G, but I’ll take it. (It’s probably the curly white hairs starting to make their growing presence known.)

Hey. New board.

Sorry, Brazil is not doing so well.

They aren't doing too badly at vaccine rollout though they could certainly be doing better. Teachers over 47, many groups of essential workers, and all folks over 60 eligible in my state and the actual rollout is efficient. Just a few months behind and only Cinovac and AstraZeneca as options, but Phizer is better against the variants that are common here so it's kind of rough.

Everybody is struggling except the US still. We bought basically all the Phizer and are hoarding it hoping the non-vaxxers will vax. :/ (And that's also part of why i had my pick of appointments at Walmart in Thursday...)
