Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Jesse that’s awesome but sad nobody got TWOP!

My dog is tearing open my couch cushions. He’ll be fine, napping or looking out the window, and then I look open and he’s got a cushion on the floor in his mouth and he’s ripping it up. Ugh!! Granted it’s an old couch, but I don’t need it to look WORSE than it already does!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hil, I'm glad to hear your mom is doing better. Continued health~ma.

Our wings are not tired.

It's good to hear your mother is home, Hil. I hope the PT helps her get quickly back to herself.

Ugh, meara. Skinner will tear up cushions if given the opportunity. Not so much now as he did when he was younger. The vet reminded me that a tired dog is a good dog. Fortunately he doesn't need quite as much activity as his did when he was a pup.

I'm glad your mom is doing better, Hil.

Annual physical today. Yay? Yeah, yay. I'm here to need one, so, yeah, good. I have to write a list so I remember all my questions/asks.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Man. So I'm here. The person I usually see isn't. So now I'm seeing some random doctor who doesn't know me. Argh. Why didn't they just call me to reschedule? So annoyed. I'm sure it will be fine, but I don't relish explaining shit ro a new person. Eh, whatever. I'll survive. Maybe I'll even like him or her. Maybe.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Argh, Jen, I hate that - didn't see my PCP last year and probably won't this year. It may well be they're thinking "A lot of people missed routine care in the last 12 months, just get them in with SOMEONE".

JenP - Apr 13, 2021 8:49:15 am PDT #5540 of 30000

Yeah, it was fine. She was very nice, and I got everything I needed. They were SUPER busy, but she spent all the time I needed. People must be filling up appointment books now that they're vaccinated. I know I will be.

So, thank you for bearing with my needless dread!

Now it's pet store time. It's like they think they deserve food and litter or something. Whatever, cats. (Says the woman who just helped DP set up a kind of epic cat condo in the bedroom. And made an addition for more napping space. Ha!)

When Jim had his annual his PCP said "Let us do ALL the tests!" I wish I could have been there for his visit with the neurologist - he described it as someone whacking different parts of his body with an oversized tuning fork and asking if he could feel it. (He's fine, but the imagery made me giggle for days.)
