Hil, I'm glad to hear your mom is doing better. Continued health~ma.
'Not Fade Away'
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It's good to hear your mother is home, Hil. I hope the PT helps her get quickly back to herself.
Ugh, meara. Skinner will tear up cushions if given the opportunity. Not so much now as he did when he was younger. The vet reminded me that a tired dog is a good dog. Fortunately he doesn't need quite as much activity as his did when he was a pup.
I'm glad your mom is doing better, Hil.
Annual physical today. Yay? Yeah, yay. I'm here to need one, so, yeah, good. I have to write a list so I remember all my questions/asks.

Saved my life.
I have to write a list so I remember all my questions/asks.
Absolutely.
Man. So I'm here. The person I usually see isn't. So now I'm seeing some random doctor who doesn't know me. Argh. Why didn't they just call me to reschedule? So annoyed. I'm sure it will be fine, but I don't relish explaining shit ro a new person. Eh, whatever. I'll survive. Maybe I'll even like him or her. Maybe.
Argh, Jen, I hate that - didn't see my PCP last year and probably won't this year. It may well be they're thinking "A lot of people missed routine care in the last 12 months, just get them in with SOMEONE".
Yeah, it was fine. She was very nice, and I got everything I needed. They were SUPER busy, but she spent all the time I needed. People must be filling up appointment books now that they're vaccinated. I know I will be.
So, thank you for bearing with my needless dread!
Now it's pet store time. It's like they think they deserve food and litter or something. Whatever, cats. (Says the woman who just helped DP set up a kind of epic cat condo in the bedroom. And made an addition for more napping space. Ha!)
When Jim had his annual his PCP said "Let us do ALL the tests!" I wish I could have been there for his visit with the neurologist - he described it as someone whacking different parts of his body with an oversized tuning fork and asking if he could feel it. (He's fine, but the imagery made me giggle for days.)
Hil, I'm glad your mom is coming home. I hope she's all better soon.
You guys, TWOP was on Jeopardy tonight! They didn't get it.
I missed it. Tara (Wing) got a screenshot of the question: [link]
Arm ache is increasing and the base of my head is starting to hurt. DO NOT LIKE. I took Advil. I’ll save the Tylenol for if a fever develops.
msbelle, I hope it passes quickly for you.
I had a more vigorous response to Moderna than I expected, given DH's light response to Pfizer. I got my shot Thursday afternoon at 3:00. Side-effects peaked on Friday, and were pretty much gone by Saturday afternoon. (My arm is still tender if I lean up against the doorway, etc.)
If I'd had these symptoms and we weren't in a pandemic, I might have called in sick to work, but I wouldn't have gone to a doctor. Drinking a lot of water helped me.
Well, the tedious tasks I had sprung on me turned out to be less tedious and more stressful than I expected. They entail monitoring online conference sessions and inserting introductory text in the chat section for them and then final text ... only I was locked out. Couldn't access the sessions. Which, of course, had me stressed out and anticipating some repercussions since it's supposed to be SO EASY. I may go home and drink (once the final session I'm responsible for today is over).
On the bright side, Thursday morning I'm scheduled to get my Real ID ... my hair's poufing out like nobody's business, since it's longer than usual and it's really humid, but then no one's driver's license picture looks good (Erma Bombeck had something titled, "When You Look Like Your Passport Photo, It's Time To Go Home").
