"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

msbelle, when do you announce the Buffista Holiday/Winter Card Exchange matches?

In better(?) news, farm newsletter guy wrote that he understands and that I managed to change his mind, and that he won't repeat the mistake. So either I managed to convince him, or he got tired of having to explain himself to angry customers. Either way, I look forward to this week's newsletter!

I don't know what to make of our new pants-optional world.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Our wings are not tired.

I have a Zoom meeting tonight with 5 doctors and 3 technical people, and now I will be focused on the previous discussion. Particularly with this medical group, which consists of extraordinarily religious doctors. I even had to agree to not work on their data systems on the Sabbath because that apparently is working on their behalf. And now I am going to be wondering if they are wearing pants!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Interesting observation: Since I've been on this course of medication my arm still hurts, but my normal every day pain is gone. I don't know if it is the gabapentin or the Advil/tylenol, but I suspect it is the gabapentin because Advil/Tylenol has never touched this pain before, and I have suspected in the past that a lot of it was nerve pain from SB. I wonder if it is something i can stay on long term?

Sounds like something you need to investigate, sj. I hope so! Also would be nice to fix the arm, but a more long term solution for pain is a great objective.

Laura, I'll definitely bring it up with my doctor either if she takes be off the gabapentin or at my next physical, whatever comes first. My doctor just increased the gabapentin because I'm not sleeping at night. So, there is no rush right now.

I'm glad the gabapentin is helping, sj.

I just did a thing on FB... I have a "friend" named Brenda _____-er, and it's her birthday today (we used to work retail together about a hundred years ago; I never see her posts). Anyway, in my mind, I processed it as our Brenda, but even as I was hitting post, I was like, "Wait, no. She bought that cool pumpkin dutch oven for herself for her birthday, like, a month ago..." So, anyway, Other Brenda now has a cheery birthday message from, essentially, a rando from her past.

Oh - I am sorry. I am behind on getting the spreadsheet done for the card exchange. I will work on it today and tonight and get it done asap.

My mother was a champion procrastinator, but she loved Christmas. Which is why she would be writing out cards on Christmas Eve and wrapping presents until the wee hours of Christmas morning. And she usually had my sister and I helping decorate the (12 dozen or so) butter cookies she HAD to make. This was after all the silver that was never used at any other time had been polished, holiday china unpacked and hand washed, tree decorated, etc., etc.
