Well, now I'm excited to hear what the surprise home project is.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I teleport all the time in my dreams. Not on purpose or to somewhere I intend to go, but instantly moving to a different place, sure.
Good news is that I found my sister had a coffee pot and coffee in her pantry so I don't have to leave immediately. She also had real oatmeal, which was a nice find.
Hooray coffee and oatmeal!
I make a mean French toast, btw. I mean, it's obviously not as good as Dream!Scola's, but if he needs a lieutenant, I am willing. Personally, I prefer mine with nutmeg, but I'll gladly accommodate the cinnamon lovers, too.
Okay, now someone just needs to dream up teleportation and we'll be all set.
Both my sons had big plans to invent portals when they turned 20. They're 25 and almost 21, now. I'll get on them about it.
Just got my vax appointment for next Tuesday! Woo! So excited. Jabbinate me baby, eight to the bar.
Yeah Cindy tell those slackers to get on it!!
I am in Palm Springs and there is a pool and it’s great! I’m eating outdoors! (Though first they put me in full sun and I had to ask to drag the table over to the shade because I am a delicate flower).
The disturbing: I bought a pair of pants at target yesterday in a bigger than usual size and got them back to my Airbnb and need an EVEN BIGGER size!! OH covid. Ugh.
Palm Springs sounds lovely, meara!
I had a friend stay at a place called the El Morroco Inn and it looked so incredibly fabulous. Like the inside of Jeannie's bottle.

This is one of our favorite places! We've been there multiple times over the years, though it's been a long time since our last visit. It's in Desert Hot Springs on a residential street, and you think you must have made a terrible mistake until you walk through the front door and are in love. They're fed by natural hot springs and cool the pool to something silly like 90 degrees and the huge tiled hot tub to 104.
In mortality sucks news, DH just called to tell me about an acquaintance passing. Not a close friend, but a person who we knew for decades and related to. He and his wife had a plumbing business with him a Master Plumber and her handling the business. Together 30 years like us, 2 kids like us. Anyway, he called their office this morning and asked if Jim could come do some plumbing thing at the house and Robin said she was sorry but she would have to refer him to another plumber and she could email a list. Brendon asked if he would be freed up in a couple weeks or whatever, and she tells him Jim died a month ago. He was 57 and by all outward appearances in great shape. Have no idea if it was an accident or what happened. Poor woman can't even grieve because she has to handle a thriving business without the main worker. And she has to answer the phone and go through it all again over and over as people for months/years to come call and ask for his plumbing assistance. Sucks.
So of course DH is super fragile and seeing us in their experience.
