I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Poor pup. I hope he’s ok with IV fluids.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Puppy ma to Rory!

Hello scrappy!!

Volans, so happy to hear your kitty is well.

Our hospital is starting to having staffing shortages, or at least the nurses are working extra. I think perhaps because we aren’t closing whole departments and redeploying nurses? But these nurses are going to burn out (and Doctors too, but I only know the one and he is a trauma surgeon who was redeployed to the ICU the last time, and he seems to thrive on the stress).

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good luck and quick recovery for whatever it is, Rory!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

The farm I'm getting bi-weekly deliveries of fruits and vegetables from went with "there's a debate whether COVID exists or not - whose to say??!" line in its newsletter. After corresponding with them it looks like I'll have to cancel my subscription. Which is a shame, they have great products and most importantly, they employ teenagers that for a bunch of reasons don't find their place in high schools and I love supporting them in that. Very disappointed.

ION: can someone please post about the new doodle for the Buffistas zoom in the FB group? I don't have an account and want everyone to know it exists. Exists like COVID, you know, but not in a deadly or dangerous way.

I understand the pain, Shir. I stopped going to my very favorite farmer's market after they had a massive fund raising event for Trump in 2016. I did actually start going there again last week. I didn't see any activity from them in the 2020 election, so maybe they came to their senses? I've missed their wonderful produce!

DH is at the doctor getting his bite rechecked, but it is healing well so I expect her to be pleased. A bit of sales~ma would be good. He is showing her our medical software while he is there since they discussed it last time. We could use another practice a lot because we have lost a few as they get bought out by bigger groups.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My sister's cat once bit me, deeply enough that it got infected, and I ended up in the ER where I was pumped full of antibiotics and given a prescription for more. That was, perhaps, my least favorite cat.

In other animal news, seems we now have zombie minks. They're not actually roaming the countryside looking for brains, but the ARE rising from their grave. Somehow, this isn't really that surprising, considering that (1) it's 2020 and (2) we should have been expecting zombies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes.

I hope Rory is doing better by now!

Oh dear, one of my office managers is in the hospital with Covid. She at least is well enough to text me! She said her whole family of 5 has it. She has various medical issues so I am concerned for her. And everyone dealing with this awfulness. The vaccine can't happen fast enough. This is a medical person who was smart enough to be cautious, but who knows, maybe one of the kids brought it home.
