Hey. New board.

Gris how are you guys doing?

We are... Surviving. The city has gone into a pretty extreme lockdown but we are very lucky to be in a condo complex with a ton of outdoor space so we still get lots of time outside with friends (other teachers in the same complex mostly), which keeps us sane. But distance teaching while three kids are distance "learning" is still the hardest, most depressing thing.

Our wings are not tired.

I can only imagine, Gris. It has been such a rough stressful year. Brazil is even worse than Florida at dealing with the pandemic!

A couple of my doctors are trying to retire because they are so burnt out, but they are having to find someone to take over their patient load, which is next to impossible.

We went to the Palm Beach boat show today. I'd say 75% of the people, including vendors, were not masked. Really people! Signs all over saying you had to mask, and yet. It is easier said than done to find a boat that DH can stand upright in, that is also affordable. I prefer to look on line, but cabin height isn't usually in the specs.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

(Skipping) Happy Passover to those celebrating! May we all be freer and in a more just world.

Our wings are not tired.

Indeed, Shir. Happy Passover.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Just got back from the seder at my MIL's house. We had it outside, because she's extremely cautious about this stuff.(She's vaccinated, but whatever.)

What is even happening?

Chag Pesach sameach to all of the Buffistas observing Passover.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy Passover!

A Good Stuff post just got some pick-up, potentially because a popular TERF blog re-blogged it? Ugh, and I'm glad I have a pro-trans post queued up for tomorrow. Internets, man.

Our wings are not tired.

I know the holiday gatherings are still weird and cautious, but still much better than last year. At least there are more options instead of just nope.

DH is on the list for his vaccine. My sister in NY was going to come last year in April for my other sister's 70th birthday, but of course cancelled. Now she is going to come this year, but she won't make the reservations until he gets his vaccine because then we can all be together and won't have to be outside in the heat of late April. My sisters are both done with theirs too. I haven't seen my sister Judi in over a year although 2 hours away. I saw my sister Mona last summer when I was in NY, but no hugs and mostly outside.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy Passover! I’m pretty tired of thinking about plagues but if someone wants to draw analogies between the parting of the Red Sea and the Ever Given I am here for that.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just finished yet another Zoom seder with my parents and sister. My aunt is in the hospital again, and not doing well. I haven't seen her since the summer of 2019.
