And to you, Karl, and thank you. And to everyone else here who's celebrating.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh my god, I had no idea how much new windows cost. And our house is tiny! Why does anyone ever own a house? Holy balls.
We are finally getting our adulting shit together and having all the chipped and cracked shingles on the outside of the house replaced so we can repaint and I just...ugggggggggh. Houses are stupid and I hate them. Is there some kind of maintenance-free yurt I can move into instead?
I got my second Pfizer dose yesterday and I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. I also realized I haven't had so much as a mild cold since we all started avoiding each other and wearing masks, because I am COMPLETELY out of practice feeling sick. Turns out, it sucks!
This is why I sold my house and moved to another country. (okay not the only reason but homeownership was annoying)
Gris how are you guys doing?
I’m often tempted to sell my house but then I remember I would have to either buy another house or rent something that allows my dog, plus then I’d have to move all my stuff, and I get tired and say forget about it.
I have thought I should sell my house and move somewhere smaller but the rent would be higher than my mortgage payment for anywhere nearby, even for a tiny apartment. That seems very strange to me, but it will keep me from trying to move as long as it’s true.
Gris how are you guys doing?
We are... Surviving. The city has gone into a pretty extreme lockdown but we are very lucky to be in a condo complex with a ton of outdoor space so we still get lots of time outside with friends (other teachers in the same complex mostly), which keeps us sane. But distance teaching while three kids are distance "learning" is still the hardest, most depressing thing.
I can only imagine, Gris. It has been such a rough stressful year. Brazil is even worse than Florida at dealing with the pandemic!
A couple of my doctors are trying to retire because they are so burnt out, but they are having to find someone to take over their patient load, which is next to impossible.
We went to the Palm Beach boat show today. I'd say 75% of the people, including vendors, were not masked. Really people! Signs all over saying you had to mask, and yet. It is easier said than done to find a boat that DH can stand upright in, that is also affordable. I prefer to look on line, but cabin height isn't usually in the specs.
(Skipping) Happy Passover to those celebrating! May we all be freer and in a more just world.
Indeed, Shir. Happy Passover.
Timelies all!
Just got back from the seder at my MIL's house. We had it outside, because she's extremely cautious about this stuff.(She's vaccinated, but whatever.)
