We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

H and I saw our new PCP on with a new practice on Tuesday, got Pfizerized Wednesday afternoon, and on the list for the second shot, I saw our new dermotolgist at the old practice yesterday, and we signed up for the patient portals for both practices yesterday afternoon. I hope to never fill out a form again--and being saluted by name when I log in anywhere now is freaky. It's day three and H has no symptoms, I woke so achy I couldn't stay in bed and deployed Tylenol. I'm wrapped up in sweats and blankets, just finished my thermos of tea, and am doing leg lifts and bicep curls until such time as I unswaddle and toddle off to offload used tea, with some more substantive exercize along the way.

My normal anxiety with strange places and people has been amplified by isolation. It wasn't a pleasant week, but it's done now and maintenance shouldn't be the effort this cumulative catch-up has been.

I'm currently enjoying fresh mozz and honeycrisp apple slices, and coddling my aches while listening to next-door's son in law dismantle their garden shed in a light but steady rain. Cozy.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

My Christmas cactus popped two blossoms for the Spring equinox. Pretty, but odd.

eta: My timing is, as usual, terrible. Oh, well ::sigh::

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Folks, Terry has posted amyth's obituary on CaringBridge - should I repost, and where?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think Beep Me is appropriate. It's a lovely goodbye to our friend. Beep Me.

Thanks, Cass. Heading over there now.

A lovely tribute.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No brain shenanigans were seen on an EEG or my blood work. Now apart from some still unexplained hyponatremia (but good kidney function) episodes, I'm probably healthy though low-sodium is not my friend.

Woo Hoo! Keep those sodium levels up!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I never did leave the house, but I got some vacuuming done (much to Spare Cat's dismay) and divers household tasks.

I have not vacuumed yet. The Boy feels unwell so is out for, at minimum, most of this weekend. But I still have not vacuumed. The timing is bad given I am going back to work Monday but there is aways space in the future for distasteful times. Like vacuuming.

But all of the salty snacky things that I crave? I've got those down. All hail having sodium available when the water/sodium level needs internal adjustment.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I’ve watched 7 movies and 3 shorts this weekend so far. Hoping to knock out 2 more movies tomorrow.

I’m enjoying most everything so that is good.
