Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I never did leave the house, but I got some vacuuming done (much to Spare Cat's dismay) and divers household tasks.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have not vacuumed yet. The Boy feels unwell so is out for, at minimum, most of this weekend. But I still have not vacuumed. The timing is bad given I am going back to work Monday but there is aways space in the future for distasteful times. Like vacuuming.

But all of the salty snacky things that I crave? I've got those down. All hail having sodium available when the water/sodium level needs internal adjustment.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I’ve watched 7 movies and 3 shorts this weekend so far. Hoping to knock out 2 more movies tomorrow.

I’m enjoying most everything so that is good.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I took my sister out for beer and guacamole at the Mexican beer place around the corner -- they turned the parking lot into a beer garden, and it's very breezy and distributed. And they have the absolute best tortilla chips around. And I bought potting soil and herbs, and alcohol (including rum for daiquiris), and groceries. And I took the dog crate to be repaired.

And I spent two hours on the couch reading ridiculous Star Wars time travel AUs. It's a day.

A day well spent! I am liking that London Breed is pushing to have the restaurant parklets to become permanent additions to the City. It really livens up the street in a good way.

I was randomly checking for vaccine appointments tonight, and Walgreens just released a bunch of appointment slots. I scheduled my first and second dose! March 24th, here we come!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Did everyone but me know that David Tennant has a podcast where he basically just interviews his friends and people he's worked with? I've listened to a bunch of episodes this weekend and they're just lovely. I particularly recommend the ones with Michael Sheen and Olivia Colman, where you can just feel how much they care for each other. It's like listening to some old friends catch up with each other for an hour and compliment each other, and it's given me a real (and much needed) boost of serotonin. Highly recommended.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, yes, Tennant’s podcast is lovely!

Yay vaccine appointment, shrift!

I spent a good chunk of yesterday getting my apartment ready to receive furniture I’d lent to Amyth. Her high school and college friends are doing most of her apartment cleaning, and much as I’d like to be helpful, that’s probably just as well. The cleaning on my end took a good chunk of the day. It was the bookcase, mostly. It’s not just rehousing that, it’s finding new spots for all the contents. Eventually the dressers I’m getting back may go to my great niece, if she (or more realistically, her mom) wants them. They’re decent furniture—solid oak with carved floral bits.

What is even happening?

amyparker, thank you so much for posting Amyth's obituary. It's beautiful.

Calli, that's a lot, in terms of work done, and emotional labor, too.

Cass, some years back, I ended up needing a biopsy because of some weird blood thing. The results ended up being, "Well, that was weird, but it's not a problem, just weirdness." I wish you my just-weirdness.

eta: My timing is, as usual, terrible. Oh, well ::sigh::

dcp, I have had that feeling before, but by the same token, that's one of the things I like best about Natter. It's not sustained conversation about anything — it's sustained natter about everything. Maybe that's why your Christmas cactus felt free to let its freak flag fly.

Sheryl, my sleep (which is seldom normal) has been more irregular than usual, I think because of the time change. I hope you had a better rest last night.

Beverly, I hope you feel better.

Shrift, I'm glad you're getting jabbed.

Woot! I should get on that shit.

Get a move on, Hec.
