Yay spicy brains! May the rest of your tests go well.
DH wanted a hair cut from his favorite place in Fort Lauderdale so I rode with him down A1A and back to watch all the bikini clad spring breakers. Sat and read my book while he got his hair cut. It was a nice break from sitting at the computer.
Excellent news of the brain, Cass.
I got Pfizer, Cindy.
We're off to pick up the keys to the new place, woot!
I wish you salt and pelvic health. How are you feeling?
Female stuff:
I've had some serious cramping since my (aggressively but medically totally the right call to be aggressive collectively a sample) Pap because there was some old blood hanging out two weeks after my period started (that should not have been there). The old blood decided to call curtains and leave after my appt but now it's almost like a period of fresh blood.
But no one (me, you) is allowed to worry until we get the Pap back. My new doctor says that next step, if we even need one, is the dildo ultrasound. He's superthorough so I'll wait until results knowing if there even a hint of an issue, he's on it.
The hyponatremia is weird but my body taught me well and is clear on signs so far. I know when some water and salty snack or things plus a couple of minutes are likely to make me feel just fine. I know when I'm shaky and shouldn't do anything with fragile glass or fine motor skills until that entire feel shakes out with water and salt.
Overall I am good.
A little concerned about the Pap but my EEG was negative and the bloodwork was mostly great and nothing bad we're even pursuing so much as rerunning in 3-6 months.
Really glad my kidneys show full function, my sodium is low but normal (138 when low range of normal is 136. Dangerous is 120 and I was there back in December and January. 138 is really okay. 120 and under is so scary.)
My thyroid looks to need some adjustment but waiting three months means we won't go too aggressive.
I am going to start back to work very part time on Monday. It's like life is coming back. Since the rest of my clinic who accepted it is vaccinated, I'd like mine. Covid really changed my life.
Whee, new place, JenP!
Sat and read my book while he got his hair cut.
Ooh, I miss new places to read books. Nice day.
H and I saw our new PCP on with a new practice on Tuesday, got Pfizerized Wednesday afternoon, and on the list for the second shot, I saw our new dermotolgist at the old practice yesterday, and we signed up for the patient portals for both practices yesterday afternoon. I hope to never fill out a form again--and being saluted by name when I log in anywhere now is freaky. It's day three and H has no symptoms, I woke so achy I couldn't stay in bed and deployed Tylenol. I'm wrapped up in sweats and blankets, just finished my thermos of tea, and am doing leg lifts and bicep curls until such time as I unswaddle and toddle off to offload used tea, with some more substantive exercize along the way.
My normal anxiety with strange places and people has been amplified by isolation. It wasn't a pleasant week, but it's done now and maintenance shouldn't be the effort this cumulative catch-up has been.
I'm currently enjoying fresh mozz and honeycrisp apple slices, and coddling my aches while listening to next-door's son in law dismantle their garden shed in a light but steady rain. Cozy.
My Christmas cactus popped two blossoms for the Spring equinox. Pretty, but odd.
eta: My timing is, as usual, terrible. Oh, well
::sigh::
Folks, Terry has posted amyth's obituary on CaringBridge - should I repost, and where?
I think Beep Me is appropriate. It's a lovely goodbye to our friend. Beep Me.
Thanks, Cass. Heading over there now.
