I just got Pfizerized.

I just got Pfizerized.
Pfantastic!
It was a little sad to see, in NYC, just how caucasian the waiting line was.
Mine was all-white and surprisingly sparse in general. Apparently in this region my reaction of sweeping everything off my desk and shouting "Hells yes!" upon finding out I could get same day vaccination wasn't typical.
Why were you hoping to get Moderna?Initially when I signed up with pharmacies I figured there was less risk with Moderna of getting an ineffective dose thanks to refrigeration mishaps. But as this was administered by hospital personnel I'm pretty confident everything was in order, leaving me only regretting losing the chance to be personally grateful to Dolly Parton.
Matt, I wanted Pfizer (because my husband, son, and mother got it, and so I just did), but got Moderna. I did tweet a thanks to Miss Dolly.

Pfabulous, Tom.
Timelies all!
Yay, Tom!
The day started out badly, with Mr. S having a meltdown because Gary had given the cat their kibble already(Mr. S wanted to do it for some reason only known to him) Then after I had gotten to work and started up my computer Gary called me because he locked himself out of the house, with his car keys inside. I had to drive all the way back home to unlock the door. Then I had to put gas in the car before I went back to work. Luckily, the rest of the day was uneventful.
Ugh, Sheryl, that's a lot. Hope you get a restful weekend!
Yay for more vaccinated 'ffistas! (Pfistas?)
I don't know why the process wasn't to allow everyone to register up front, and then actually schedule based on the criteria. That way, when the numbers in that criteria group tail of you can easily move to the next, and/or call up folks if you have prepared doses ready to go. I also don't know why we're spending time and effort trying to convince people who don't want the vaccine to get it, rather than moving on to the next group, where at least 50% will want it.
Still, I think my family will get vaccinated faster than if we were still overseas. State can't figure out how to get the vaccines out to embassies.
My asthmatic 60-year-old sister just got an appointment for next week, in Berkeley. She'll be so happy, since her daughter is getting married next month and was worried about being the only one at the wedding unvaccinated. (Everyone else has qualified for a variety of reasons.)
I just hit the two-week mark, which I think means I can eat indoors with someone not in my pod? SO EXCITE.
-t, I'm glad your dad seems to have gotten through the surgery ok.
David, 50 lbs is almost a whole person! Congratulations! And congrats to Matilda on the running: it's the one practice I have mostly maintained for the last 40 years.
It was a long week and I spent a lot of time on the phone telling people things. Now I have a cocktail (A "Star": equal parts Calvados and sweet vermouth, with some bitters, and a cherry), and the dog wants dinner, and then I will watch some MCU on Disney+.

At least 7 babies!
