I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

What is even happening?

Oh yes! I'm sure you need the break, and ltc and her grandparents need spoiling time.

My DH and mom have had both shots and are 2+ weeks out from the second shot. C will get his second shot on 3/23. I'm scheduled for mine on 4/8. My older kids still haven't begun theirs (which is right, since they're healthy 20-somethings).

It would be nice if everyone could be vaccinated by Mother's Day. The other day, my mother (who has been pretty good about staying safe) said, "I can't believe it's been a year of my life. I'm 84. I don't have many left." Which -- I mean -- I know, but it still made me sick to my stomach.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Cindy. My mother has been so depressed recently not being able to see ltc. They are so close.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Love to hear these vax appointments rolling out!

I got up and made coffee, and I drank my coffee and now my coffee cup is empty. And this saddens me. There is a slight, "where did you go" feeling of betrayal as I look at my empty cup even though I ingested every drop.

What is even happening?

David, make another cup of coffee. It will make me feel better.

Hec, that happens to me quite often with my tea.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, coffee. Why so finite?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My coffee is notorious for disappearing as well. (Seriously, every once in a while I do get so engrossed in whatever I'm reading that I'm momentarily genuinely surprised that my mug is empty.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So now we understand when pets complain about empty food bowls (yes, I know - cats will object if the bowl isn't completely full).

I prefer the weekends when if I scowl at my empty cup, TCG will get up and refill it.
