Yay everyone getting shots!!

I am more likely to look down and be sad my coffee is still there but got cold. Today I did drink it all though, because I stopped for a latte and a fancy “pop tart” from the bakery (raspberry frangipane!). It’s expensive but yummy on occasion.

I am so excited to hear about so many of you getting shots!! Makes me feel even more like Washington is super slow in rolling this stuff out though. Geez. I’m getting my second shot today!

The all important Second Coffee is something I buy at the local cafe as reward for running the steps (which I am about to go do). When I walk in they ask me how many and I used to say "Three" for my Medium Capuccino, JZ's Medium Latte and Matilda's hot chocolate.

But now that Matilda gets up at 7:30 and runs every morning, she goes over there and gets an iced, blended caramel latte for herself before school.

And even though I've been getting Jacqueline Second Coffee every morning for a year now, she still acts surprised, pleased and grateful when I'm handing it to her.

Because complacency is so uncool, and you married a deeply cool gal who would never dishonor Second Coffee (or the procurer and deliverer of same) with complacency.

Jesus, now I want more coffee, and I've already had like 3 cups (I love the spring forward time change, but it does fuck up my mornings for about 10 days).

That seems fast! I'm eligible as of April 5 to try to get an appointment, so we'll see.

I get that. When DH gets up before me (almost always), he has a cup of coffee waiting for me, when I get downstairs. I am surprised, pleased, and grateful every day.

Many days, it's the nicest thing that will happen to me. (I'm not whining here, either. It's just rare, in life, that someone thinks to do a kindness like that.)

Brendon is like this. Although I have been cooking most of the meals for over 30 years he still acts like it is the best thing ever that I cooked for him, every single time. It is quite endearing.

Still have no word on MD opening up to phase 2, which is when I’ll be eligible.

I love that so many people are getting vaccinated. It seems the delivery has moved into high gear.
