As of today, I'm technically eligible for vaccination because of BMI, which I feel some kind of way about much like everyone else. There were appointments this morning when I started to check availability, but then I had to go to a bunch of meetings and now there are none. Now I have calendar reminders to check every morning as soon as I wake up.

Our wings are not tired.

DH could in theory get his vaccine if he claimed his chonkiness and went to Miami, but he is waiting until it is closer to home and available for his age bracket.

I really enjoyed the Grammy Awards last night. Granted, I usually do enjoy them, but I thought they did a good job with the restrictions. Loved some of the coordinated mask ensembles too.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My work computer has refused to adjust to DST, and I sympathize, but looking at the clock and thinking it's 2:16 feels very different from realizing it's 3:16.

What is even happening?

Right there with you.

Hugs and love to everyone.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Today was my telework day, and as usual, I finished my work before lunch.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am sad and tired as well. Holding all of you in my heart.

We did get raises this year, 2.5% for me, which does not seem like enough to get excited about but is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Haven't gotten our appraisals back but the raise hit on today's paycheck which is odd but kind of nice (I would be bummed if I hadn't gotten one after finding that out and not having an appraisal to know why, though)

And my new (refurbished) phone came today and I successfully moved the SIM card and it's restoring from backup so it will be as if nothing disrupted my phone having soon enough. I assume.

We have made a dog training plan and mr. flea is getting his shot (J&J) tonight. I am trying to see the good things on a cold rainy day.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am trying to see the good things on a cold rainy day.

It's so icky out there and I have to leave in 15 minutes to go pick my Dad up at Christ Hospital, where he had some heart testing done (good news: everything is stable!) and take him home to Mt. Washington. My bright point is that the Anderson LaRosa's has gluten-free pizza, so I am damn well getting a pizza (and salad) and bringing it home and eating it self-righteously. Plus my Dad might want a pizza so he doesn't have to cook tonight, either. But this is mostly about me wanting pizza.

We have to decide by Friday if the kids will go back to school in person, 5 days as of March 31, or stay virtual, in a format still pretty vague but I *think* basically livestreaming from the classrooms where their classmates are. I have already flip-flopped on which choice I think is right 25 times. Both kids want to stay remote, but I don't think teenagers necessarily know what's best for them. (I mean, staying in your room watching videos 24/7 is probably not best for them, and this is their activity of choice when allowed to choose.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't think teenagers necessarily know what's best for them.

Man, that is the truth.

We did get raises this year, 2.5% for me, which does not seem like enough to get excited about but is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Way better! Good news.

It's frickin' cold in San Francisco this morning.

I know the time for this has passed, but HA HA HA. It was 16 degrees here when I went out for my walk this morning
