We have to decide by Friday if the kids will go back to school in person, 5 days as of March 31, or stay virtual, in a format still pretty vague but I *think* basically livestreaming from the classrooms where their classmates are. I have already flip-flopped on which choice I think is right 25 times. Both kids want to stay remote, but I don't think teenagers necessarily know what's best for them. (I mean, staying in your room watching videos 24/7 is probably not best for them, and this is their activity of choice when allowed to choose.)
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Man, that is the truth.
We did get raises this year, 2.5% for me, which does not seem like enough to get excited about but is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
Way better! Good news.
It's frickin' cold in San Francisco this morning.
I know the time for this has passed, but HA HA HA. It was 16 degrees here when I went out for my walk this morning
Huh. Kaiser tells me that I have a high-risk medical condition that will make me eligible to be vaccinated mid-March. I wonder what it is. Also, oh, hey, it's mid-March.
Did I say this here already? A friend of mine who thought she wasn't up yet got a notification from her healthcare provider, and got the J&J shot last week and is done! So, you know, take what you can get.
Because I'm a weirdo and keep going back to the website, it looks like my most convenient CVS is now giving vaccines, which is exciting. I still figure I'll end up getting it from my doctor's office, but we'll see...
I picked my dad up at the hospital, he turned down pizza because he wanted a tuna salad sub from Subway, but I got my pizza (and salad -- why is salad made by a restaurant always better than the salad you can make at home???). And since Dad is fully vaccinated and I have home-grown antibodies, I got to hug him for the first time in over a year.
That’s wonderful, Tep!
Yay hugs! And pizza! (and salad)
Oh yay, Steph. And 100% agreed that bought salad is way better.
We have made a dog training plan and mr. flea is getting his shot (J&J) tonight
That is good on both counts!! Do make sure the puppy has a chance to play with other puppies, that's important too apparently.

Yay!!
There definitely seems to be a momentum of more and more people being vaccinated, which is good! Hoping the "May 1st" idea turns out true.
I mean, they can say everyone is eligible but the limit is still the number of shots/slots, right?
