When I got my appointment through Walgreens one of the options on their site was, "I qualify based on guidelines for my county." I checked that since I'm teaching right now and that was just being opened up. I had a letter from my University and other proof of my employment ready to go when I turned up but they only asked for my drivers license and my insurance card, and even the insurance card wasn't required.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Is Ohio not vaccinateing faculty in in person institutions? That seems weird.
Only K-12, not higher ed.
Massachusetts explicitly says they aren't checking eligibility, but the new sign-up system made me swear with scary language that I was telling the truth.
We are also not doing higher ed faculty until it's open to the general public.
And the governor is being an asshole about K-12 teachers, even.
Y'all made me want to check the actual eligibility requirements here and they do not list higher ed, boo. Being homeless does make you eligible, which is good, but to get vaccinated I think you have to register online and have ID, so, not sure how that works out in practice. Maybe they are vaccinating at shelters and support offices.

You are in CA right? I got my shot here in Los Angeles as adjunct faculty in the UC system.
I was looking at my specific county eligibility requirements and it listed something like School System Employees only. IDK
ETA That is to say, yes, I'm in CA, but the county drives were what I was looking at and they may have different rules?
To be fair, now that I think about it, Solano County might only have UC Davis in the way of higher ed - I think the community colleges are actually part of the school system here, in some sense. And I think Davis is providing vaccines for everyone who lives or works in Davis, regardless of anything else.
Not like I actually need to know this, I'm eligible for working in the Industrial Sector for an essential business, I was just curious
Meanwhile in Brazil, we still have the worst President, vaccination is basically stalled, ICUs are full, and Sao Paulo just went to into full deep lockdown so it's back to teach from home with all kids at home. For at least 3 weeks.
We are looking into flying back to the US, but residence in MN means we would be better ofd than in some states, but since we aren't teachers in MN we can't make an appointment yet. Boo.
Timelies all!
Got woken up early by Nova yowling. Ugh...
