Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

His health teacher didn’t wear a mask?! Wtf? Is that not required? (If not, dear god)

I am not loving this month, I’ve had bad migraines like 3 of the last 4 days? My meds generally end up working but leaves me feeling blah the rest of the day, and worried tomorrow will be bad too, etc etc. I had almost none in January/February so I don’t know if it’s allergies or what. I need to do stuff like dishes and laundry and go to the pharmacy and I’m instead on the couch feeling bleh and also disturbed im getting very little work done the past week

Punishingly Intricate

Hil, what about going to Kentucky? I have MD friends who qualify in PA, but not here yet, who were able to get vaccinated there.

move out and draw fire

Is that not required? (If not, dear god)

It *is* required. I'm debating whether to report it or not. Apparently (since most of the class is remoting in) several students saved the video to report it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I would think that the more people who report the Health teacher, the better. Not for the Health teacher but for ensuring compliance because hey, still pandemic out there.

I had my EEG today. They even did the strobe light things to try and induce a seizure but there was no seizure. Fingers crossed that it doesn't show brain issues. This is not the area to live carless.

Last week I had my first appt with my new thorough doctor and they did a full physical including an EKG and heart is good. Which is stress relieving since anxiety attacks feel like your heart is going to implode.

Hopefully the five tubes of blood I had drawn and other bodily things I gave as offerings will give a clue as to what caused my seizures and it will be an avoidable situation in the future.

Post-Covid fatigue, brain fog and cough continue. I'm so happy when I read about people receiving their vaccines.

Our wings are not tired.

((Cass}} I do hope that new thorough doctor comes up with a good plan. eta: after my one and only massive seizure 7 years ago my neurologist ended up saying that he never could tell me why it happened but he felt confident that it likely wouldn't happen again. I am convinced it was the combo of record level stress, persistent lack of sleep, bad diet, and alcohol that did it. I can't handle the meds so I worked hard on the other factors, and no recurrence. There have been a couple times when I felt things weren't right, and told DH right away and took a day to focus on chilling. At this point I think I got this.

Outraged on your behalf, Volans. That is absurd. A dear friend of mine is Superintendent of Schools up north and he is in a seriously depressed state at this point. His partner of I don't know how many years left this past year (no doubt because of the stress levels all round), and is now moving to FL, which closes that chapter. Just last week he had 1 5th grade student positive so 2 bus drivers, a whole class, several teachers now quarantined again. No matter what he does half of the parents and teachers hate him. I feel so bad for him because he is just so emotionally overwhelmed. He is so dedicated to protecting his students, teachers, and staff and has to deal with the insane Covid deniers on a daily basis.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It seems in NY they aren't really checking. In fact, I got a couple of messages saying to just come on down. I do have a legit comorbidity. Is Ohio not vaccinateing faculty in in person institutions? That seems weird. We have had a lot of arguments because my job class is technically staff, but we teach faculty and students in person ideally. No big deal for me because I have a comorbisity, but hard for my colleagues.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I qualify in PA so I signed up on a list. I found a site with open slots, but they filled before I finished filling it out OR my MD address kicked me out. Not all PA locations will let you sign up with a MD address, but it seems some will.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

I have been PFIZERIZED. (It's like getting Febrezed, only it doesn't attract vampires.)

In other words, right now this is me: [link]

They didn't even ask me what my comorbidity was.(severe asthma) Either they were going on the honor system, or they figured it didn't matter since TX is throwing it open to all over-50s on Monday.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I haven't gotten an appointment yet myself, but the word through the grapevine here is that you have to select from a dropdown why you are eligible when you sign up but when you get the shot you just need your ID and your appointment. For the county provided shots, so you also are supposed to live or work in the county but apparently they are not even checking for that if you have the appointment

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I did not need to prove eligibility in NY - nobody even asked* until I was at the vaccination desk and at that point (three check-ins and two hours in) they're not going to turn people away. When you make the appt online you have to check a box that says "Yes I am on the qualifying list" and then another box that says "Yes I read the list again, I really do qualify for one of those reasons" but you don't actually have to provide the reason.

*Except for the nosy woman in line who was very suspicious of all the YOUNG PEOPLE here and demanded several times that I explain to her how they all got appointments (which she clearly didn't believe anyone but her actually had).
