Toddson inspired me; a chocolate cake is in the oven. Neither sugar-free, fat-free, nor gluten-free - also only about four servings: Jim and I could eat an entire layer cake by ourselves, but it would not be in our best interests. I had two 6" pans that I'd bought in a fit of "Find something else to put in this order" and a recipe from one of ATK's Cooking For Two books. It smells good, if nothing else.

Hi Gud!
Yay appointments!
We’ve been making strides with the 60+ demographic in NC. This month we’re adding teachers and other essential face to face workers. Maybe next month I’ll have a shot at a shot.
Yum, cake.
I have been v tempted lately to splurge and order Jeni's pints delivered. But told myself that's ridiculous because they're expensive to start with and then shipping is $20 for a four pack. So I told myself I could buy any ice cream I want at the store, and I bought three pints (two ben and jerry that were on sale, and one tillamook frozen custard that is actually awesome and I may need to try other flavors--this one is honey ice cream with honeycomb candy pieces)
That sounds amazing.

I am an ice cream snob who has tried several Jeni's flavors and likes Graeter's better (who also delivers!). Well, not that I like Graeter's *better* -- I just think Jeni's is overpriced. If they were priced the same, I might lean towards Jeni's.
I like Jeni's flavors. And sadly, the one time I got Graeter's here (I think the one grocery chain has one or two flavors, sometimes) it wasn't very good (the chocolate in it was really waxy?? [ETA: but the times I've gotten Graeter's at their stores it was delish!]). Mostly the reality is I'm sad the local frozen custard place closed, and the one I love in DC posts every day about their delicious flavors and other baked goods and it makes me want frozen treats. (All y'all in the DC area should go to the Dairy Godmother)
What wonderful name!
Happy as I am to have my appointments, seems the usual suspects are in town again. They are, seemingly, planning another attempt on the Capitol. sigh ....
Ugh, I forgot to check on that -- they are showing up again tomorrow? UGH
We're doing plain old plebian Denali Moose Tracks in both vanilla and chocolate ice cream, full fat, full sugar, full whatever else it is you shouldn't be eating. Just--served in one of my teacups. Total indulgence, and then, done.
Yay for sticks, and appointments for sticks!
Hi Gud. Nice to see your typeface.
Jeni’s has some amazing flavors. The watch out for me is textures. They have a tendency toward add ins that are just gritty or soggy, like cereal or pastry bits that just make the whole thing grainy. So I’m careful what flavors I try, at $10 or more a pint.
But now they’re building one 6 or 7 blocks from here so it’ll be much less fraught!
