Thanks, Laura!

You know sometimes that weird thing happens where a certain word or concept keeps popping up in rapid succession? I discovered, much to my delight, that the Doritos Taco Supreme at Taco Bell is gluten free. (Look, we all have our dirty, little food secrets. Don't judge.) Anyway -- I got them two night ago. Then, in the next day's crossword, one of the clues was "Taco Bell slogan." Today a different word puzzle has "taco" as an answer. I'm waiting for the third drop, and them I'm getting me some more of those babies.

If loving the Doritos Taco is wrong, I don't want to be right. That thing is GOOD.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a vaccination appointment!! NYC finally opened up enough additional sites for city residents to relieve the pressure on the state locations, so my first jab is happening on Friday!

Man, Ohio is sucking so hard on vaccinations. We're still in a holding pattern at people who are 65 or older. Even people under 65 with pre-existing conditions aren't eligible yet. I'm so envious of all you non-Ohioans who are getting jabbed.

(Or, in other words, Ohio does NOT have coronavirus vaccinations for everyone year-round.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo, Jess!!

Now I would like Taco Bell.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent, Jess!

House-ma for Laura. I hope it gets lots of suitors.

Great news, JenP!

As with Ohio, California is still basically stuck (pun!) at the highest tiers. They haven't even worked their way through all the teachers yet.

But I'm hoping they ramp up in Vax and the new Johnson one-shot vox will start flooding out soon.

JZ's double stuck, and she's going up to tend to her mom for her second stick. But Matilda and I are not on any list anywhere yet.

Punishingly Intricate

There hasn't been a vaccine approved for under 16-year olds.

I meant to offer my sympathies and congratulations to people moving! As we know, moving is the absolute worst, but living somewhere new can be great. Laura, may you have the luck of my friend who sold her house for cash before even listing it.

move out and draw fire

I too have been skippy for a bit, mostly because I'm unable to deal so Calli I'm so glad you were able to visit amyth.

Yay for those getting vaccines. I am somewhat more chill now that all our older relatives have been fully vaccinated. New Mexico has been kicking ass and has the highest rate of vaccinations (despite pretty much my entire hometown refusing the vax). I don't think my son and husband will ever have a change to get the vaccine.

But hey, at least there wasn't really a cold and flu season this year.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Hooray, Jess!

Washington is 65 and over/50 and over if you're in a multigenerational household (grandparents living with grandchildren). Here on the island, where a quarter of the population is over 65, the city's been asking for a thousand doses every week and receiving between 100 and 500, with nothing at all some weeks. I currently *knocks on the table* have no pre-existing conditions, so my turn may happen along this summer.
