'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Let me add thanks here, too. I've been skippy of late, which I suspect is stress working its way out. I had a moderately productive weekend, going through some old papers, and decluttering/rehoming old clothes.

Our wings are not tired.

Monday, Monday. We have had an insane month of major work and house projects leading up to a visit by potential buyers yesterday. Let's hope they loved the house as much as they appeared to and give me a good offer today. Seriously, house ~ma appreciated. I can't believe how much work Brendon has done the last month. I did something right in some lifetime to deserve him. I did so little because a lot of it was a lot of physical work, yet he kept making a big deal of my contributions to fine work and taking care of business work.

Medical week for me. Tomorrow a long overdue bone density, which I hope doesn't result in my doctor wanting to give me drugs, but the bones ain't what they used to be. Then Thursday I happily get my 2nd jab. It may put me down for the weekend. But I am totes cool with that.

Good offer ~ma, Laura.

Speaking of houses... DP and I are moving from our apartment to a house nearby (still renting), and I am SO excited. We went to look at it on Saturday, applied Sunday morning and heard back Sunday afternoon. It was not a sure thing, because the rental market is super tight for lessees right now up in here. Well, and buyers, too, I'm pretty sure. But we got it, yay! It's about the fifth or sixth we've looked at and the first one we wanted to get. Phew. And, $300 less per month than this apartment building with its fees for every damn thing and, well, just a higher base rent -- this apartment building is across the street from Metro, so they are up charging for a location perk we specifically wanted, but then that became totally unnecessary, so...

Bottom line, now starts the process of packing and eating everything we can get through in the house before we have to move it. I think of msbelle when I think of that because of the progress reports for same on leaving Texas. Hee.

Exciting, JenP! Moving is always a horror, but fun to set up anew.

Thanks, Laura!

You know sometimes that weird thing happens where a certain word or concept keeps popping up in rapid succession? I discovered, much to my delight, that the Doritos Taco Supreme at Taco Bell is gluten free. (Look, we all have our dirty, little food secrets. Don't judge.) Anyway -- I got them two night ago. Then, in the next day's crossword, one of the clues was "Taco Bell slogan." Today a different word puzzle has "taco" as an answer. I'm waiting for the third drop, and them I'm getting me some more of those babies.

If loving the Doritos Taco is wrong, I don't want to be right. That thing is GOOD.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a vaccination appointment!! NYC finally opened up enough additional sites for city residents to relieve the pressure on the state locations, so my first jab is happening on Friday!

Man, Ohio is sucking so hard on vaccinations. We're still in a holding pattern at people who are 65 or older. Even people under 65 with pre-existing conditions aren't eligible yet. I'm so envious of all you non-Ohioans who are getting jabbed.

(Or, in other words, Ohio does NOT have coronavirus vaccinations for everyone year-round.)
