Kaylee: Is that him? Mal: That's the buffet table. Kaylee: Well how can we be sure, unless we question it?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes, Sheryl, that sounds painful and unpleasant! Hope the Advil helps and you can rest and recover some.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Sheryl, ice down wherever you hit (speaking from experience here).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Prayers to your nephew and his family and to you, Cindy.

Ouch, Sheryl! Ice and ibuprofen yourself up for sure.

Hil, that sounds so immensely frustrating for you and the student.

I have been grousing at my computer all day, but now I think I should be relieved that the worst problem of the day has been that some doctor sent me a 20-page Word document to upload in little pieces to different files on a non-Word platform, but the document turned out to be simply teeming with nested tables. Hec recommend I boot it back to the doctor with some stern words, but I am 150% convinced that this doctor (like most of them) would have no idea what he'd done to create the mess in the first place and he's the last person in the world who could possibly fix it.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

JZ, from my personal experience receiving docs from Engineers, I would bet folding money that your assessment of the doc (and the Doc) is correct.

No fun, Sheryl! Hope the aches won't linger too hard.

So many good wishes and prayers for your nephew, Cindy.

And I hope a solution to reduce the frustration that you and your student are going through presents itself, Hil.

So, I had a recipe in the newsletter from my CSA that I was so excited to try, and put a not-insignificant amount of effort into, for a result that is very...meh. I'm so disappointed that I'm tempted to throw out the whole batch (muffins - unfortunately NOT minneola-flavored). They're not actually bad, per se, just meh. I hate to feel like the ingredients and the time were completely wasted. But I also know it's dumb to hang onto muffins that I don't particularly want to eat. (And yes, typing it out, I've pretty much talked myself into throwing them away. Guess I just needed to air my muffin grievances).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I support you in the muffin tossage.

Cindy, I know this a scary thing to face with your nephew.

You have a good memory but I'll tell you about my friend, Pamela, again anyway. She was diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's Lymphoma and recovered from it TWICE. It was hard. I am sure she'd be willing to talk with your nephew if he has questions.

She took to hobbies to keep her brain active. Puzzles were a great joy to her. Actually Buffistas were amazing as always and sent her gifts while she went through her bone marrow transplant.

Our wings are not tired.

Ouch, Sheryl. Ice and drugs now may help how you feel tomorrow.

Toss those muffins!

She was diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's Lymphoma and recovered from it TWICE.

Yes, it is important to read hopeful stories because there are many encouraging accounts of recovery.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Hey guess who is still working? Ugh. It’s been a long time since I have had to do this and I know that I’m very lucky on that count. Still not thrilled that I’m going to basically log off shower and go to bed.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Cindy, much ma for nephew and your whole family

JZ, I hate word tables. I hate word tables created by health care professionals. They do not know what they have created. There is no way for them to fix it. They are using Word like a typewriter.

Word tables are annoying and yes, that doctor almost certainly wouldn’t make it better. How frustrating!!

It hailed a bunch here this afternoon, it was very strange. Not big hail, but a lot of it.
