Thank you, amyparker and Teppy. I remember ita talking about ginger beer.
Hec, thank you. I'm trying to keep it to things I can ship to my nephew. His whole household works outside the home, and they haven't been that Covid-careful. (I hope his oncologist drills it into their heads that they have to be, and that they can/do get vaccinated.)
Edit: thank you Matt, too. The posts aren't loading right for me, today, even when I refresh or reload.
You can slice fresh ginger and boil it in water make tea, but definitely order things for other people that they don't have to do any work for. Best thoughts to your nephew, Cindy.
BUT, she went back to work at the hospital for her healthcare coverage
That should be a crime. This fucking country.
Timelies all!
I think my brain is going to melt out of my ears with the stupidity of the stuff Mr. S is watching on tv.
He hasn't discovered Barney, has he?
We got lots of mileage out of Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, without our ears bleeding, but he still might be too young. From when K was too young, really, to when she was slightly too old.
Is he too old for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood?
I actively enjoyed that one.
Peanut watches all of the PBS Kids lineup, from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood to Pinkalicious and Peteriffic to The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!. It's vastly more tolerable than any other programming. (We also watch The Muppet Show, but I have to be quick with the fast-forward on that one sometimes. Very much a product of its time.)
edit: We're currently watching the original Mary Poppins for the umpteenth time, though.
My band was featured on Pinkalicious and Peteriffic! (Mostly the kids in it.)
He sometimes watches stuff on PBS Kids, but in this case he was watching "Trolls:The Beat Goes on" and "Polly Pocket". Ugh...
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was lovely, and quiet. But as we know, Bob, I like the quiet.
Here's to water staying where it's supposed to, for heat in chilly places, for things that make life better, for things that make us smile. For cookies and new jobs and better days ahead.
