Well, he’s growing. And we’re sort of string bean people anyway.

Our wings are not tired.

Bean pole like my son Brendon, who is 6'6" and maybe 165 pounds. Let's just say his also tall male relatives are 100 and 200 pounds heavier.

Pouting because I have worked hard all day and not it is after 5 and I would swim but they are doing stucco stuff to the house, with a very loud grinder. So no swimming for me. I might have to drive away somewhere and get away from the noise.

Frozen pipes in one bathroom this morning.

Oh, man. I am worrying about all y'all in the south who are getting hit with snow and freezing temperatures.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Frozen pipes are still frozen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seems like they won't burst until they start thawing, and that's looking like...Friday. So. We have time to not be able to do anything?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds right. Ugh! Terrible.

Snow in mid February isn't completely unusual, but 6" to 8" with another 4" to 8" predicted in two days is. I don't think I've seen snow accumulation like this since I was in college. They're saying we'll break the current low temperature record from 1905 tomorrow.

Driving over to my doctor's office for my annual checkup today was a bit more exciting than usual. Very pretty though!

Frozen pipes are no fun at all. Ugh.

eta: I've only had them freeze once while I was in residence, but several years when I go to Otter Lake in the spring we find that we didn't get all the water out of the lines and they have busted. Of course this is discovered when I turn on the water and it goes everywhere.

The good news this evening: my dog did not eat a magnet. I thought he did for about an hour, then I found it. (I knocked it off the fridge, he grabbed it and ran, when I caught him there was no magnet in his mouth. But apparently he dropped it on the way, whew!)

Puppy’s first day of doggy daycare is tomorrow! Here’s hoping they’re ready for his energy, because with the snow he’s barely been exercised the past couple days...(omg I need a break)

I’m glad the pipes don’t seem likely to burst, Dana.

We’ve had cold rain for the past several days. I’d prefer snow to be honest. Of course, I’m speaking as someone who wouldn’t have to go anywhere in it and who has good boots and a warm coat for playing in it. Maybe we’ll get some snow Thursday.

Yeah, taking your 10 week old puppy out to pee every 15-30 minutes in a snowstorm gets old pretty quickly. We ended up not getting that much, because it came as shitty little ice pellets instead of snow.
