oh no! I forgot.
Um. My cat put a dead mouse in the toilet! I don’t want mice. I don’t want to fish a dead one out of the toilet. I am taking a few minutes trying to figure out a way to fish it out without a net, but without also ruining a kitchen implement. This is a situation where I wish I still had plastic grocery bags.
Also, I did a report on Albania in 6th grade, and I pretty much only know the Cheers song.

You have to wonder why all facts that we should remember forever are not taught as catchy little songs. Schoolhouse Rock went a long way, but why not more of that?
Rats are known to swim up the pipes into toilets, so I don't think flushing a dead mouse back that way would be a problem. I mean, that's the traditional goldfish funeral, right? And mice are pretty damn small....
Askye, it may be worth it to get your Mom's cat a general vet checkup. He might be in pain of some kind which could be treatable, and a change of venue might not help.

I don't get to sleep in on the weekends anymore. I have to get up at 7 to give Nova her medication, and even if that doesn't wake Mr. S, my brain usually decides it's awake, and I can't fall back to sleep.
Today was an annoying morning, in that I woke up early and my brain did its thing. Nova started meowling a bit before 7 and then Mr. S woke up and it was all over then.
